I don't think we should do this. Many times providers go through allot of effort and sometimes expense to prepare for our visits, they get baby sitters, get dolled up, have their hair done etc. If anything plan B should be an agency. If we expect providers to honor our appointments then we should do the same. Just because we get canceled sometimes when they get a better offer, doesn't mean we should the same. In fact there are several threads on the boards where provider have denounced the practice of canceling a confirmed appointment for a last minute "whale". The purpose of TER is to set standards of performance for providers and hobbyist. Double booking does not meet this standard.
A few times I have had to cancel an appointment due to flight delays or have had one cancelled on me, and I find myself with available time but no one to spend it with. I have seen people post on TER, but whenever I have tried to do that - by time my message gets posted, it is too late to meet someone. Is there a good place to post when this occurs? Is there a better way to contact someone last minute? Agencies are one option when I am in a city with reliable ones, but are there any other options? Thoughts/advice?
Plan A, B, and C. Depends on how important getting laid on this particular day/ time is to you. Plan A is the one you really want. You pre book and confirm and buy her a gift because you really look forward to your time together. Plan B is the backup on standby, you make a standard appointment, and the one you'll cancel when driving to see Plan A. And Plan C is just waiting around anyways and doesn't mind if you call her last minute. Get checked out by a few ladies beforehand and let them know your time frame in travel so there is no delay when Plan A has to cancel for a root canal. It also depends on how tight the network of providers is that area, Plan A, B, and C may know each other and talk about your tactics and refuse to see you. Just be smart and approach it like you would anything else in life.

see if I have had cancelations and may be avl. I have cancelations and land appts on fly quite a bit so keep me in mind for next time. I dont mind an email stating hey you by chance avl today last minute. Because sometimes I am when some ones cancels. I ve actually made a cancelations fill in list of people that expressed interest in being notified if and when cancelations arise. I actually had 5 cancelations last week but landed 5 fill in last min appts some were the ones I d established the idea of being a fill in with. it worked out great.
I was once at an airport when my plane suddenly got delayed for several hours.
I grabbed a Yellow Pages (Remember them?) and found an AMP near the airport, grabbed a cab over to it, and had one of the best experiences of my life.
In fact, as I had to fly in and out of that airport many times on business, I made is a regualar habit to head over to the AMP and see the sweetie I knew over there.
I often rely on MPs when my plans fall apart for whatever reason.
First - regarding double bookings. The main issue has been my delayed arrival at a specific city. I have had three or four trips in the past year where I arrived 2-4 hours later than planned, so my "booked" appt had to be canceled. In all cases, I emailed or sent text to provider as soon as I knew I would be unable to make it. The problem was that I was unsure of when I would arrive, so could not book another appt until I arrived at my hotel. So, very last minute booking required.
Second, thanks for tip on p411. I do use that whenever possible. A question - should I just send PM or Appt Request? Does it matter to you (asking the providers on this one)? I have been hesitant to use p411 as sometimes I am arriving late at night at the hotel (9pm or later). But certainly a good option. I have been very hesitant to call anyone later in the evening for a last minute appt (seems very disrespectful to me). I know I hate anyone calling me after 8pm at night...
Finally, - yes, someone else told me to use an agency as backup plan. I am now trying to include some "potential" agency ladies in reserve whenever I travel (i.e., see who is available, check out their reviews, etc.). Who knew there could be so much work involved in trying to have a hour or two of relaxation I guess I was just curious to know what options there were for cities that may not have reliable agencies, and you have all given me some food for thought...
