This is bullshit.

Carlie Becker fired from her job as a cheerleading coach b/c of some racy photos. She dismissed some girls from the squad for skipping school, so the girls decided to "out" her. That is complete crap. So she took some naughty photos, who the hell cares? If she was photographed on school grounds, or wearing her school uniform, ok, I might be able to understand that. But just posing for Playboy? So what? The administrators need to grow the fuck up.

If you're going to be working somewhere like a school setting, you haveto show high morals and you're looked to as a role model for kids. I would probably be a parent to picket, because at least I'm smart enough to know not to put things out there that could jeopardize my career.Showing bod, no face, is one thing. But don't get surprised when everything comes back to bite you when you don't care what you're willing to show to the rest of the world.

I not going to argue with you using an alias either but since you did I HOPE you are not a provider nor hobbyist with such a hypocrtical attitude.  Now I posted time and time again how the hobby should be legal like the bunny ranch and that would eliminate the expolitation that goes on in the business.
My question, if she is a good coach or teacher, what difference does it make that she posed nude in playboy?  Her job is not to teach values or morals that should be taught at home or in church.  If you are a provider, shame on you because "he who is without sin, cast the first stone"  In my opinion, we should ALL keep our stones in our packet

When the human form was idolized publicly.

Most likely these folks wouldn't have a problem showing the woman's autopsy if she had wound up dead somewhere.

The schools have made their choices so far as role models go. You can't have any references to Jesus, Buddah, or the like.  But you can display posters of over paid, whiney, coke sniffin', wife beating pro atheletes.

Jesus effing Christ - she applied to work in a public shool. The effing rules are pretty effing clear.  A person doesn't want those constraints?... look for employment elsewhere - good God...

Actually the only reason why it would not be a legal matter because it was a coach, not a real teacher who was protected by tenure. Nonetheless, there is no "moral clause" in a teacher contract unlike the Miss America Pagent.  So applying for a school position is not cause for being fired.  Now, I will admit that public pressure may cause her to resign but fired...that is a law suit

I'm a parent, myself, and I know what children should and shouldn't be exposed to. Of course it sounds hypocrital, alot of things are hypocritical when you're a parent. It's all about supporting good morale and good life choices. I am a provider, but this is far from being my "life". I am someone who is always aware and understands that by posting certain things you take away your potential for higher goals.

So what if she's a good teacher? She's a role model and an adult figure who may influence some of her kids. Do you think that she could regain the respect or have been looked at in a professional level if the school allowed it to blow over? And you say her job is not to teach values and morals and you're comepletely off base. Have you been to a US school and looked through the handbooks with their code of conducts. Sure parents teach morals, but a teacher is someone who is a neutral influence without any sway.  Thanks for your "bible commentary", but I stick, I wouldn't have a problem pushing for her to get her kicked out of school where my child attended.

She did playboy, fully acknowledging she was going to be plastered everywhere. I look at these boards and I look at everyone who decides to share all the info that they want about themselve without thinking about the possible long term consequences. I just think to myself, "well you can kiss those dreams goodbye".

I am a parent too and I believe that morals are too diverse to waste a resource of a good teacher, who are increasingly hard to find. For an example, in South Carolina, a school board fired a teacher because she was an unwed mother. I am sure that the school board used your logic.  All I am saying that morals are too personal and are too varied to take a resource like a good teacher  away from kids who quite frankly do not share these values anyway.

No, its not bullshit. She presents herself as a role model for young, impressionable teens. She has a responsibility to provide them with a good example. Our teens are already inundated with messages telling them they have to be thin at all costs, and bombarding them with sexual content long before they are old enough to understand it. They don't need a teacher, or in this case coach, modeling those same messages to them.

My sister-in-law is also a cheerleading coach. Hell, she can't even smoke on school grounds around the kids. But you think she should be able to pose nude in Playboy with no repercussions? Let me get her on the phone and tell her to call Playboy right up.

I agree that it was pretty crappy HOW her pictures came to light, and it says alot about the mindset of the teens who were dismissed as entitled and spoiled little girls. However, once the administration was aware of the photos, I agree that they acted properly by dismissing her.

Let's face it - we live in a world of hipocracy. It's OK to sell everything from soap to soup with sex as the message, but to actually expose the human female body, the most beatuful thing that has appeared on earth,OMHO is a sin punishable with anything up to death, depending on where you live.
I see no hope of this changing, there are too few of us willing to come out and take a stand on issues like legalization of relations between consenting adults despite the many arguements that can be made in it's favor.
Sex should be safe and legal. It will never be safe  until it is legal.

So under your premise, teachers must have a moral standing that the rest of us does not?  That is just crazy.  If I was her principal, I would have stood behind her and make it a "teachable moment" to say to all kids you can rise above your decisions or past and to show those bratty kids that blacknail is not the way to go

Yep, and it's sad that there are adults out here such as the thread starter who doesn't understand this.

You have to watch who you let your children associate with.

standard.  Remember Spitzer?  What if one of your children came home from school and said Ms. so & so has her nude pics on the internet?  Not sure you would be pleased.

Do I agree with this, hell NO, but it is the way it is.  What an individual does away from the job shouldn't matter.  But, as Sins said, it is about being a good role model.  Too many teens today need good role models because the family values have deteriorated in a lot of places.

My 6th Grade teacher was on the cover of Playboy and nothing happened to her....and that was 67-68. Come on folks lets not go backwards, otherwise we might as well say the Taliban has the right idea about women. As long as they are no showing it to the kids it's no body's business! As for your kid finding it on the Internet...well how about being a parent and monitoring what you child does while on there.

Any one who doesn't know by now that racy pictures and a job around kids don't go together get's no sympathy from me. Several years ago I knew a bartender in a strip club who quite her job because she was in line for a job in the library at the local high school. This woman had never danced in her life but she was smart enough to know that she would lose her new job if word ever got out that she worked in a strip club.

I'm not saying for one second that I agree with things like this but it is reality and it is not going away.

She is very good looking so the outing may result in modeling and or movie contracts. If she becomes famous because of this, that would be a great payback.

Look at the good side
