Seriously, I notice a man's attire, and love a crisp, clean dress shirt and tie,

   Well-groomed hair and nails (those long ones are sort of painful when used in certain areas)...

         A classy pair of shoes

               A welcoming smile.  


But, A BAG?  not on my list, sorry.

I notice when a man carries a STYLISH briefcase/messenger bag.  In fact, when I see someone carrying something I like, I ask them about it (where they purchased it, what brand, etc.). It's a great ice breaker!

Men's bags have changed considerably over the years with many crossover types. When looking for one, I suggest you splurge and go with a high-end brand such as Tumi or Prada. You will love the way it makes you feel when you carry it. It makes a statement, says you treat yourself well as all men should.

Leave the gym bag at the gym!

I would think the man bag that the ladies like is the one that hangs down between his legs. Which is second to the one that holds his money.
