Is this lifestyle Moral or Immoral?

Sorry to be a downer but I have to ask this question for obvious reasons.

Do you feel like a moral or immoral person based upon your activity in this lifestyle.  Let's face it this life does not conform to normal standards of accepted behavior.  And please don't deny it because we all know it.

If you play golf you tell your friends.  If you are a scrapbooker, etc. you tell your friends.  99% of us DO NOT discuss this behavior.  We are hiding it and that makes me think we are not moral people.  I have struggled with this for a long time but the urge to hobby takes over.  As I am sure it does for most of you.

Which leads me to wonder if this life has a negative effect on us.

Everything I like is either illegal, immoral, or fattening.

I think 2 out of 3 ain't bad.

Let's concede that society considers pay to play to be immoral.  So be it.

What counts is what we feel.  If your conscience is so bothered by it that it depressed you, then don't participate.  What's the point?

Otherwise, think of it like that second helping of pie you scarf down at Thanksgiving and think:  What the hell?

Of course, I don't consider it as an immoral activity. But again, I don't expect everyone to have the same moral compass as I do. People around me know that I support legalization of prostitution, but that's how far I will go, because that's what I am comfortable with. Now, if the activity was legalized in the US, I might feel comfortable telling people that I pay or sex. I am just not too inclined to tell everyone that I have broken the law left-right- and center.

It is not something I am proud of or anything I would shout from the rooftops, but I can think of a lot of other things that are far worse. Your question should be aimed at the wives, because they would be the ones with a different view. Who is going to be on a fk board and not pat us on the back for what we do? Ask the modern world and the wives, and your answers will be quite different.

Take a look at Carlin's point.

Prostitution is illegal because of outdated moral views in this country.  There are plenty of more enlightened places in the world where it's legal.  So, just because most of this country believes it's illegal and immoral, why should I feel bad about their benighted views?  As for hiding what I do, I don't.  Most of my friends, my kid, and my ex know what I do.  My ex thinks it's hot and has met one of the ladies I see.  My friends are envious.  The whole thing has had a highly positive effect on my life.  If you feel differently, that's sad.
If it makes you feel bad, why are you doing it?

They are not obvious to me. You need the opinion of a bunch of anonymous people on a fuck board as to whether their hobby is moral? That does not compute.

How does not discussing a sexual behavior make it immoral? Is masturbation immoral? Do you brag about it to your friends? Have you ever bent your wife over the sofa and given her a nice doggy-style fuck? Do you discuss that at the PTA meeting? In fact, do you discuss ANYTHING about your sex life with anybody but MAYBE a very close friend or two?

There is NO QUESTION that prostitution IS immoral in our society today, simply because our society has labeled it immoral. Our society also happens to be FUBAR, so why does it matter? The question to ask (of YOURSELF, not this group) is, does my participation in this "hobby" cause me emotional, spiritual, financial, or legal problems?

Jesus Christ, it's not rocket science...
"Doc, it hurts when I do that"
"Then don't do that!"

I am not married.  I only decided to dabble because I just got out of a LTR and am not interested in dating right now....and I'm not interested in even putting the effort at the bar or club scene.

It's my feeling that I would not do this if I was married or with someone.  But I can't say for sure because I haven't been in that situation yet.  From what many say on here, I might change my tune if I ever get to that point!  LOL

But "immoral" is a bad word IMO.  I'd call myself "unfaithful" if I was currently with someone and having a satisfying sexual relationship, but that's just me.  I'm not a judgmental type, either, and when someone's wife flat out isn't interested in sex and the guy has made many legit attempts to try and get things going, it's not surprising the need is going to have be met somewhere!  Just think of all the stress and built up tension that gets released because of these lovely ladies.  They are doing society a favor!

But everyone is different, of course.

Let's just hope there is immorality in hell if there is a hell. You would expect it. But as a punishment there might not be. But in heaven there would be and now it would be alright even for the ones that didn't partake before. God is evil so everything is possible. LOL

So kinda kinky...love it.

We still need to try that sploshing thingy that fisher keeps on recommending  :D

In separate rooms of course  LOL

It's time for your meds again  :D

Can you tell me how you arrived at your 99% of "us".  I didn't get your poll to fill out to be part of your sample john.  And many others didn't get it either.

Maybe at your next recess you can ask TER to put up this poll and let many of us vote on it?

I stay quiet becaue i know how society views what I do. But, i know that I am a better, more "godly" person than most who would judge. So I don't particularly care what they think.

It's like those who think other religions are going to hell just all together and in a hand basket. Being a good person is much more important, IMO, than conforming to any societal norms.

I find it hard to describe as immoral anything two people do willingly.  Lots of laws are passed that make things illegal that are not immoral, why can't sex work be one of those things.

The only thing that stops me from telling friends about seeing escorts is simply the legality of the thing.  It's never a good idea to admit you are doing something illegal.

It's also a bit of a cultural thing where in America at least the attitude is such that it's looked down on when you can't simply go pick up women - never mind if you want to or not, or if it makes more sense or is safer.

Well........................No. I neither feel moral nor immoral.

When I decided there are many aspects of sex and sexuality I hadn't experienced and wanted to it seemd as if I had two options.

Dating for the purpose of sexual experiementation
Hiring someone, different people with experience where I want to explore.

The first option would invlove dishonesty.
The second option makes perfect sense--if I custom paint for my motorcycle I hire an experienced person.  Having reviews or pictures of their work makes selection a lot easier and less risky.

"Let's face it this life does not conform to normal standards of accepted behavior."

I'm way past the point in my life of either wanting or needing approval from other people.
At one time "Amos and Andy" were regulars on TV, acceptable, normal.  Now, well Barak Obama on TV is more than acceptable and quite normal.

" And please don't deny it because we all know it."

There migh be a flaw in your theory that you know what other people think?

"We are hiding it and that makes me think we are not moral people."

Hiding it?
Well, let's see......................................................................................................I don't talk about masterbating; don't talk about my wife's and I sex life, even after being a widower for more than a decade.

There might be a flaw in your theory that if something i8sn't talked about it is being hidden.
There might be a flaw in your theory that the only things not talked about are immoral.

"I have struggled with this for a long time but the urge to hobby takes over.  As I am sure it does for most of you. Which leads me to wonder if this life has a negative effect on us."

Well............No I haven't struggled.  Urge isn't displacing any of my values, let alone a core value.  In fact, it's just the opposite!!

Rather than wondering if what you believe is a life you share with everyone else has negative effect upon us, consider zereo in on your life, and only your life.

When you're good at something, ethically it's ok lmao

I could never live in a theocracy because I neither want nor tolerate other moral structures being imposed upon me. I sure as hell don't want some tightass telling me that paying a woman to ball my brains out is a no-no due to their particular views on the supernatural.
You know what's supernatural? Great head. A shower together and orgasms and wine. So, I'll pass on hell and go directly to nirvana.
