Ladies - is this common??

About ten days ago, I saw a provider and had a GREAT time! I wanted to see her again real soon so I made an appointment before left. I was "supposed" to see her again in a week. I couldnt wait to see her. Exchanged a couple of emails stating how much fun we had, etc. She confimed my appointment again and again.

She emailed me in the morning on the day stating that a family emergency came up and she wouldnt be able to see me that night.... Crap happens so I said "OK, let's postpone it....". No problem.

Someone posted a rave review for her a couple of days ago so I PMed him telling him I had a similar experience (Good fun) with her. Without me asking, he told me when he saw her in his reply.. You guess it right - he saw her on the day I was supposed to see her again. It was his first time with her and it would appear that she chose to see him that day, instead of my, a returning client.

Understand new clients are possible returning clients and the returning clients are vital for steady business operation. however, she could lose one (in this example, it is me. Not seeing her anymore) in exchange of seeing another new client.

Ladies - no offense but is this a common practice? Would you dump a returning client in order to accommodate a new one or two?

I don't think it's common and I don't think it's a decent way to behave. Did this other guy make a longer booking than the one you had scheduled?  If so she may have cancelled on you purely to make more money with the other booking.

Don't be disillusioned by this, not all providers will behave in such a shabby way.  And good for you for voting with you feet :)

This isn't common but cancellations do happen.

You will learn as you move forward -- even if you confirm an appointment with a provider there is always a chance of cancellation up to and including "the" day of the appointment no matter your status with her, for whatever reason. It happens to everyone and has happened to me on numerous occasions.

You are doing the right thing though. No need to waste your time on someone who plays it this way. You'll save yourself future headaches.

No, actually most ladies will tell you its the other way around. They would bump or postpone a meeting with a new client in order to accommodate a 'regular' more often than bumping a regular.

There could be a number of reasons why she was unable to see you. Life is hectic and things change. Things might have been sailing smoothly in the afternoon for her so that she could see the guy that wrote the review, then had something come up that blew the rest of her day.

My suggestion is to e-mail her and attempt a second meeting. If she flakes out on you again, then you have your answer.

I was just wondering, did the other guy see her at night? {in your time frame} If so,then you definitely should move on.Or did she see him earlier in the day? {before your scheduled time}The reason I ask is that it's possible that her family emergency would've only affected you and no one else.I'm not trying to make excuses for her but it may be something to consider.

If it bothers you that she does not think you are important enough to keep an appointment with move on and spend your generous dollars else where. Shewill probably do this to you agian in the future. She could have cancelled your appointment for several reasons:

1. Other guy paid for more time
2. Knew how desparate you sounded and could reschedule you for anytime.
3. Bad time for her.
4. Probably comes down to money anyways.

Where she figures a local guy may turn into a regular but you are "just a visitor".

There are some agencies that will overbook appts on purpose then cancel at the last minutes.  Also some visiting hobbyists will do that too, so providers may be more inclined to see a local hobbyist in that case.

Also, it could have been entirely innocent.  What if an emergency happened after his appt so she couldn't see you?

It is all about the money 90% of the time. Sure emergencies do come up, the I love (my computer is down), and in your case maybe this guy saw her in daytime and your appointment was at evening.

Nevertheless, you question was is this common. As Carrie said not with many professional ladies, but she did mention maybe someone had more money and booked for more hours than you. It just happens. I have learned to roll with it, always have plan B (they do) and do move on in instances such as this. Sins says try it again, then you will know for sure. For me NOT A CHANCE, first one is shame on her, the second one is shame on me (for doing it again).

New flash: In this business, many hobbyist do not realize that your one hour appointment for many ladies is nothing but filler on days she has open. Don't forget if she is popular, she has many multi-hour appointments including multi-day appointments. There are men out there that have that kind of disposable income and the ladies jump on the chance to make that kind of money. It is a busines my friend. And yes, it is all about the money.

Just don't take it personal and move on. So many ladies and so little time. Oh, and so little money for many of us. lol

Dude-

Shit happens.

A) Shit happens
B) She's not that into you...
C) He booked for more time than you.  his 900 three hour is a better deal than your 300 hour
D) Something in his phone conv gave her a better feeling than the prospect of your date.
E) He's younger/older than you and closer to her ideal- so she took a gamble
F) She really never had ANY INTENTION of going through with your 2nd date in the first place and you were fated to have a succession of excuses anyway-
G)Uh isn't the point about this that this is pretty removed from the emotions?
H) Perhaps the move to long pants was premature?

Returning clients get first priority.

Some girls don't want to see a lot of new guys.

Like me. Old clients come first. No pun intended!

I'd be willing to wager that almost ALL your clients come first.

I'd probably wager that a high percentage of the time- you don't come at all...
