You know, I'm all for free advertising, but there are some things I really wish that these sites that steal your ad and put them on their sites would keep in mind... *cityvibe* *cough*cough*

If you're going to steal my ad and put it on your site or as they state in their emails REPOST it through some partnership with another site, PLEASE SPELL MY DAMN NAME RIGHT and PLEASE don't change the text of my ad and PLEASE at least give me a link to be able to take down or to change your ad so it's not a cobbled together version of whatever it is I want to express. It just causes problems for me ultimately.

I don't know what it is they think they're doing... putting up a free ad for me and screwing it up doesn't inspire me to advertise with them.

All I see linked in your profile is a cityvibe ad.

Katie,

Sorry you are having troubles with other sites.  Hope you can get it fixed.

Now with that out of the way, is there any way you will ever tour to Florida?  Wishful thinking, but I can dream, can't I?  I know you are in college, but I also now there are a bunch of guys, me first in line, who love your posts and would love to see you come to the real sunshine state.

You are a real sweetheart.

Swim
xoxo

Yeah that's lame. The review format is a bit strange here in that the user inputs the websites that link to your profiles or sites. That's not cool that Cityvibe just put your ad up, and by default causes you grief. It's just silly. Of course, being that it is a known site, and we have to post in our reviews your website or a link, it's going to keep linking to that.

I always put what's already there, the information we have to fill out on reviews mandatorily is rediculous.(as in RE-adding pre-established information) Only the first reviewer should add this , and then if there is changes you should be able to adjust the defaults, but when we write them we have to literally add everything in again.

I'm surprised anyone even writes them. It's very tedious. That's why I have 3. I only do it when the encounter was worth a damn, it's wayyyyy to convoluted.

Somewhere you've assumed that they do this for you....!  Bwahahahaha!!! that's a good un!

They are totally disinterested in what you think, what your ad says or what you want them to say....  They need to populate the site such that lame braimers (like moi) will peruse their site... and looky looky at the advertisements that are strategically placed on the site (like right in my face).  There are ads on Citivibe to ladies I know to be retired (or worse - dead).  I do agree with you that this is a horrible practice but advertisers (in this business or others) are notorious for the exploitation of human behavior.  Sad but true.  (See my note below about the practice of some agencies - even with bad reviews continuing to hawk their wares with false pictures.)

So, what they are trying to do - is create the illusion of a very active site by populating it with a lot of hot (and yes indeed - you are very hot) ladies ads.

but I never thought of this from your perspective... it was worth hearing and seeing that other ladies dislike the practice as well

For months I've been getting "discount offers" from CV because I have "such excellent reviews." However, these deals they offer are the standard prices that are overpriced compared to other sites anyways.  Furthermore, they don't seem to respond or care to anything other than here's some money, go play with it, and that's not my style.

I usually don't like paying for ads (cuz i like the freedom to disappear when school gets busy and not have to worry about getting my money's worth on an ad so to speak) but at least with my ad on City Source, they're responsive, address any concerns quickly and really try to make it a good experience for you. This is service I will pay for.
