Providers and Clients be careful your cash can be tracked.

Bills are legal tender even if slight bits of them are missing.  In fact, they are legal tender as long as they are at least 80% intact.  If you really want to avoid your cash being tracked, this would be a simple, and (for the time being) legal solution.

There are a LOT of reasons other than an RFID chip that are causing the eye to burn first.  This article outlines how unrealistic and impossible it would be for the gov to put chips in all the money

all those all black helicopters that are hovering over your house too. You might want to check under your couch for mikes, I think the US Gov is really interested in you.  In fact they are monitoring your hobby activity thru your reviews.

It's not how far you go but how fast that you get there that counts.  Maybe her chip was counting the stroke rate?

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing would never be able to explain the huge cost increase in production that would have to come from the inclusion of a micro chip in every bill. Congress would lose their collective minds. Since the difference between the cost of production of a bill and its monetary value is seen as profit to the government, they get very touchy when the expense of production starts cutting into the budget. That's why our pennies are only copper coated zinc now.

Although the site that I will provide a link for in this post has nothing to do with any embedded chip technology for tracking the movement of currency it does provide a "chance" to track bills
purely for fun.

It can be interesting to see where a bill may end-up by registering at this site and then entering a few bills by serial number. Then wait for notification from the site that someone has found the bill and given a geographical location and date when the bill was found.

If you have concerns about defacement of currency there is a FAQ page that addresses that issue along with info on how to use the site.

It's purely for entertainment.

I know, I know, I'm easily amused at times. Then I'm a bit of a geography nut so it has a certain appeal to me.

Here's the link:

The link title below will also take you to the site:
