Nuru is water based, and therefore evaporates shortly after applying leaving the person being massaged shivering unless the room is very warm, like a sauna almost.

So, unless you have access to a sauna or can make the room very warm, it's not all that much fun

I learned the authentic Nuru massage in Tokyo,Japan where I come from and I sometimes offer it to the clients here in the USA.
 
I agree with mrfisher about the evaporation of the gel makes both client and you shiver. In Japan, Nuru massage is offered only in the places called "Soapland". They are basically combination of a private bath room with a bedroom and most of the time, heated for the purpose of Nuru(which called mat play in Japan). When I do Nuru here in the USA, I always make sure to heat the room unless it is really really hot summer.  
 
Also, when I do Nuru massage, I always make sure to put my genuine care into the people who receive it(this is not only apply for Nuru anyway.... the real meaning of GFE). This is an ultimate body to body massage and you'll touch not only their body but somewhat their being/subconsciousness with your whole body and heart. The masseuse's body transmit what the masseuse feel to the client without any words and you really can't hide what you feel to the receiver. I put all my love into my body to massage them.  It requires sensitive skills to read the client and enjoy the  journey together.
 
This is not just a sensual massage...yes it feels great sexually/sensually, but at the same time it is healing as well.

I've done Nuru twice, did get a bit cold until we were facing each other. Then things heated up and wasn't an issue. Today I actually had a body to body massage with a girl who used oiled. Felt the same, found it more erotic and warm the entire time. Loved it.

It was fun to try, but I don't think I would do it again.

I have had both and enjoyed both but agree with others, the NURU is cold and drys sticky.
The oil was much more sensual and felt better to me.
Could have been the provider that used the oil was maybe the best in business at B2B.
In future, I will always choose an oil provider over NURU gel provider given equal service.

Speed changes really heightened the mood.  Just sliding on top as fast as possible isn't sensual but slow, agonizingly slowly sliding, is amazing.

Consider laying on top for a few moments and matching breathing patterns, that can heighten the connection.
