I'm just wondering, it's dangerous to take medication not prescribed to you, even worse if you don't even know  if its actual viagra.

I'm just saying.

what is in those pills. First off, if your doctor didn't prescribe them, it's probably not a good idea. Secondly, if they are not real Viagra, made by Pfizer, then what are they? Is it possible that they have potentially dangerous ingredients? There are some natural substances that are extremely dangerous, but are marketed as herbal enhancers. Do they work? Yes they do, but the side effects are so drastic that they have been banned in many countries. One that comes to mind is Yohimbe. Yes, it works, but has been tied to liver and kidney failure, among other health issues. Go see your doctor. It's not a big deal, and in the long run, much less costly.

And I have not noticed a difference.
One place delivered from China, and the other from Canada. Both were generic.
The tabs that are marked 100 may be from the same Canadian Pharmacy that I ordered from. They seem to work just fine.

What was it.....just two weeks ago, maybe three that a provider posted on here about seeing a client who experienced a Viagra induced heart attack??????

What the HELL will it take for you guy to figure out that
1. if you don't NEED Viagra, don't TAKE Viagra

and

2. If you ARE in fact prescribed Viagra, DON'T trust some internet site who could be mailing you cyanide for all you know.

*shaking my head*

so now you have some blue tabs that NO ONE knows what's in them.  True they COULD be a generic form from some other country, but probably have any number of other ingrediets mixed along.  Even though it says 100, it may have only 10 mg of sildenafil, if even that in there.  This stuff is totally unregulated in other countries.  Even here, the drug counterfiet market is a multibillion $ operation.  There is NO guarantee of what is even in those.  It could be harmless sugars, it could be powdered pesticides, it could be bat shit from S. America.

If you want to take them....it's on you.  You would be better off flushing them, and considering the money you spent as the cost of education!!!  Seriously!

The FDA is essentially in the hip pocket of the Pharmaceutical industry and the food industry.
Case in point, encore tabs were gaining in popularity as a Viagra alternative. The FDA moved in and shut them down. They worked even better then Viagra, but nothing like squashing the competition.

While I agree with you that taking chances on a generic version does bring an element of risk, so does the hobby we indulge in.
I have not heard of anyone croaking by taking generic versions.

Get your facts in order.
The stupid hobbyist STOPPED taking his seizure medications. He had a seizure.
It is probably true that he was taking Viagra, but since the two meds don't mix, he chose the wrong one. That was his stupidity.

Cyanide? Let me look outside and see if the sky is falling.

I was legally prescribed Viagra several years ago.
My prescription insurance does not (yet) cover ED meds, so it is more cost effective for me to order on line.
This is my experience, Jimmy.

I don't have anything to say about the drywall industry, as I shine my seat with my ass for a living.

Below is a link to the post itself. The long and short of it, is that the guy jockeyed around with his meds, and took a medication that was not prescribed to him. IE, Viagra. The result was a seizure followed by a mild heart attack.

But hey, I mean, I just wasted my time in nursing school, I'm a total idiot here. So are the members here who are members of the medical community who have also said DO NOT TAKE PRESCRIPTION MEDICATIONS THAT ARE NOT PRESCRIBED TO YOU. We are all idiots. We all got our educations out of Cracker Jack boxes. YOU Sir, clearly know more than the entire medical community and the FDA as well.

As to off market medications imported from other countries, noooooooo, no one has EVER suffered any ill effects from that. Nu uh, nope never ever happened. Tests have found lead, uranium, strontrium, and even arsenic have been used as fillers in counterfeit drugs. Is the sky falling? Maybe not for the guy down the street. The problem is, if you roll the dice on some dicey internet site to buy drugs from, you have NO idea what you might get.

But again, I am monumentally stupid, and have no idea what I'm talking about.

Counterfeit, but I guess you missed that part in nursing school.
You are now getting into new territory. I said nothing about taking Viagra that is not prescribed. The OP did not say that either. Please reread his post, and my responses.

For the last time, the stupid hobbyist did not take his seizure medication, and had a seizure. You cant say for sure that the viagra caused the "mild heart attack", as you should know what happens to a person's body when they have seizures.
Neither of us examined this guy, so your guess is as good as mine, or vice versa.

Don't kid yourself by referring to it as "gray market" or "after market".  What it is is fake. Whether it is safe or not is a mystery.  At about six bucks a dose for the real thing and with it being so easily obtainable by a doctor's prescription I really can't understand why anybody would screw around with their body by taking something that no company has the guts to put their name on...

The guy being interviewed was an exec with one of the larger Canadian companies who do a lot of advertising for generic medications.  He thought he was in a conversation with an advertising guy who was going to do some marketing work for his company.

The guy being interviewed did not know he was being taped.  He had a very heavy Indian or Pakastani accent and he said all his company drugs came from India and that in his opinion, he felt that about 85% of them were placibos.

It was a very interesting and eye opening interview.

And while it may be partially true in some cases, one has to work in this industry a long time to see what is actually going on.  The FDA is seriously understaffed.  The flood of crap coming in from foreign countries, esp. China, India, and South America is overwhelming.  In many cases, some very serious effects of drugs do not surface until they have been on the market for years.  Drugs like Bextra, and Vioxx, both made by BIG drug companies were pulled due to serious effects on the heart which no one saw in studies.  They were multibillion dollar drugs, and got pulled before their patents were even up.  You would have to see the almost weekly warnings, and actions taken by the FDA against major drug companies before you make statements about the drug companies owning them!

As far as that crap that is pawned off as "generic Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra" in Canada, Europe, Australia and others...go ahead and use it!  It's your body!  If you're lucky its either a placebo, or maybe a tiny amount of actual drug, that your paying for and it won't hurt you...just cost money for nothing.  If its an udulterated drug, maybe you'll be lucky and it will kill you quickly....or....It might do something fun like shut down your kidneys, and you can enjoy the rest of your life on a dialysis machine 4 days a week.

Are you feeling lucky today????  :-X

Why would anyone take a drug that is not prescribed to them?  Why would anyone take a drug to which they can not speak to its authenticity or safety?

Why not just go to Dr. and get a script? The Docs are passing out ED drugs like Pez.  The only reason they do not is if you have a condition that makes the drug contraindicated.  In which case, you are playing with your life if you pursue them on your own.

Hell, if you even mention that you MIGHT be interested they shove a 6 pack free sampler at you.  After that, you have to pay the freight.  Hmmm...reminds me of a pusher from my old neighborhood.

Indian drug manufacturers legit and highly regulated by the government. All the generic drugs imported to US (yes they do import) are FDA approved. All of the drug companies are ISO 9002 and 9003 certified.

So, before lumping everyone other than the US into one heap, let us pause and take minute to understand how things really work.

Everyone and every where else are not a bunch of thieves and crooks while we thump our chests.

In India.  A lot of the illigit drugs coming from other countries is channeled through a convoluted pipeline of many countries...basically laundered like money.  During a bottle of medication's long and twisted journey to the US it is often replaced, and counterfieted.  This is the big problem here, drugs pass thru too many hands before reaching the consumer.  Even those made in the US average about 15 different stops between the manufacturer, and the drugstore.  It's much higher coming from foreign countries.  But look, there is a bright side....if you do get a bad batch of something, and your kidneys shut down...India is also the largest supplier of Black market kidneys on earth, and their methods for obtaining them borders on barbaric!

While we have plenty of crooks right here in the US, please to dont preach about the righteousness of places like India, China, Malaysia, etc.  It isn't a valid argument!

And since you seem to enjoy digging up pro India crap on the internet....READ THIS!  It's nothing NEW!!!
