Premise is that your GPS enabled phone is linked to your shoes via bluetooth.  And instead of looking at your phone screen to navigate, the left or right shoe will vibrate when you reach an intersection, and indicate the direction to go.

Curious if that could apply to directions for a hotel incall where you don't know which floor or room, but your shoes would lead you in the right direction.  Shoes would need a "TER Map App" available to select members, and the provider would need a beacon; that's a lot of development work for a limited market that's already served by text messages.  But maybe it'll springboard an idea from the more creative TER members.

Just thinking aloud, but what if a Meet & Greet only issued directions through the shoes?  Only the hosts would know the location in advance...

if you are out of the GPS service area or the batteries in the shoes died.

no thanks, I'll stick with the "old school technology" of a cell phone and get either text or a phone call giving me directions.

Out of GPS range. Batteries easy fix, carry spares, if you are that dependent on GPS.

Not so useless.
