😁 If every man cheated, why would monogamous women bother married? They would just stay single or only marry other women.  

I mean is it realistic to only be attracted to one person for the rest of your life? No, but I think there are a small handful people who really are happily monogamous and like the security blanket that comes from being with the same person forever. These men who see hot women and don't cheat just look at other women and then... move on with their lives cause they're married and not looking for trouble.  

I've always been polyamorous (also called ethical non monogamy) because it's way more fun. You can sleep around but there's no lying or guilt. It's a win win in my opinion. Relationships should be fun but with trust and total honesty, simple as that.

So long story short, yes there are people who don't cheat. But no I don't think most humans are meant to be monogamous.

The world is full of them

Don't be jaded by news about politicians and celebrities, or the fact that you spend too much time on this site. Most guys get married,  have kids, go to their 9 to 5 plus hour commute and come home. Saturdays doing yard work and Sunday church then off to the in-laws for the afternoon. And that makes them happy and fulfilled.  

It's not my life, but I really think mongers are the minority.

You can find statistcal numbers that are all over the place, but this chart puts it at about 1 in 4 men and 1 in 7 women.  Note that older people are more likely to cheat.

Just some thoughts but if you look at some primates like the mountain gorillas, you'll see a dominate male with "several" woman that he can mate with in his troop.  He protects them and his offspring.  In those groupings, I think the dominant males are programmed to procreate with as many females as possible.  Nature also has the females mating only with the dominant male. Is it natural selection or is it the fact that he'll be the hell out of another male that attempts to mate with the women in his troop, I don't know.    

I don't know if there is a direct correlation with humans but it would sure seem to work that way.  A man with the resources to support many woman will likely do just that - get many woman.  The women want a man to take care of their requirements and ensure that their children will be well taken care of.  

However, now that we have the modern women some of those roles are changing and the woman are looking for as much enjoyment as the men.  I just don't know if that's a natural tendency or it's a learned behavior.  Either way, some women are having as much fun as the men these days. I would guess that there is still MORE men cheating than women but it sure seems to be trending towards parity.  

One factor not addressed is the dry marriage.  

Prior to menopause I had no desire to stray.  Oral was never a big thing with her, but her beauty and lust for fucking made up for the lack of a blow job.  Masturbation to fill the gap in the week, yes.  Fucking another women or provider, no.  

Once my wife passed menopause her interest in sex hit zero.  Shut off everything, and punished me for jacking off to porn because of it.

We got remarried to each other for a second time with a don't ask/don't tell policy.  We have not shared a bed since 2008.  

Am I cheating, I don't think so.  We are tied mentally together, just not physically.

Societies expectation that, cause a one spouse won't, or cannot have sex, requires the other to abstain is cruel.
