There are two versions . . . .

of Bolero.  The original is 14+ minutes (more than enough time to finish when I was a yute, but not now when I am equally concerned about the lady's enjoyment), and a shorter, more popular version that is about 8 minutes.  Make sure you at least start with the long version, or you will find yourself in no man's land when the music stops at a place where you don't want to interrupt the fucking to go start it over like they did in the movie.  A continuous loop would help, but because the music builds to a climax, not as effective or authentic to start over, IMO.

It seems to me that a couple of decades ago, every gal made sure to have music going in the background during a session.  It struck me that this had two purposes:   The first being that she wanted to appear classy, and how more classy can one get than to have music as a part of the routine.   The second was a bit more practical:  The music allowed her to know how much time was left in a session so she could be sure to wrap things up in time to avoid going on overtime.

But now-a-days music has gotten very scarce.

My tantrika, of course, still has the Buddhists chants and gongs going on, and my MP gal has the adult contempo, while my TM gal goes with Patsy Cline  (Tra-la-la-la, Triangle...)

But beyond that, just bed springs.   I'm not complaining, I don't miss it that much, but I wonder if others have noticed this.

For those that still get some music, what is on the play list these days?

I like music ... I can zen into it. But for background during sex I find it distracting.

other than classical guitar music, or a piano playing Chopin, I tell them to turn it off, because, I, too, find it distracting.  One girl figured this out a after a couple of sessions a few years ago without me saying anything else but for her to turn off her contemporary music, and went on to become my OTC girlfriend for nearly a year.

With the cannon explosions at the very end, rather appropriate don't you think?

so the neighbors or the next work room won't hear anything. Sometimes those rooms are separated by no more than a curtain or a bed sheet.

Hey Mr. Fisher,

Always jazz remember?

I still have music in the background and it's not to time the session.  I try and choose something that might be age appropriate for the particular gent and It's to help ME and my partner get in the groove.  Along with the special lighting, attire, you all know.

One afternoon  years back in NYC I had one of Fourplay's albums on and I chuckled to myself when "Love For Sale" come up.

Oh that would could have that in neon on our foreheads when we were out.  lol

Smiles and Hugs All,
Anneke

My tastes predate vinyl, too. But things can get crowded if you only have a room and not an entire Suite for Orchestra.

but every once in a while you will hit a "sharp" one.

Bach at you as well. lol

One night during our first sleepover, I woke up with an original tune going through my head which I can still recall, and it's a really good one too.   It even had lyrics.   It's about having to work so hard, that I never have time to play.  Happily, it does not describe my life too often.
