I was just perusing the different threads from different places and came across this post in Boston, I found myself getting a little perturbed by the seemingly offencive tone of the thread. Normally, I'm not the angry hooker who takes exception  to others opinions as we all have an ass hole but this really bothered me.

BRAVO!! I've been saying the same kind of thing for years!! Why can't people look at the positive aspects (and there are several) of the "hobby"? There is still SO much stereotyping in society that needs to be overcome!! (I do have hope that the millennials will help to eventually bring about---(as Friedrich Nietzsche would say)---a "reevaluation of all values.")

LOL, I'll take you up on that but know this, if we date, you will have to meet my parents who live about 7 minutes from me and insist I watch football at their home every week. When they go out of town, you'll have to help me feed the horses and clean the pool in the summer time. You'll have to eat homemade food because I'm not a go out type of chick and smoke outside or downstairs by the pool table because I can't stand the smell. But I have a huge house, deck and backyard so you can find a place away from me. You'll also have to get to know my two dogs (my babies) You will have to go to each grandma's house alternating holidays in MS and NC and you will have to go with me to the gym. That's pretty much my deal breakers. Oh and the strip club is a must!

 We'll need to date in order to sort all of this out okay? That's the only way I can know for sure. If all goes well, I will come back to this thread and report back our results. i.e. whether or not I am a loser for having "lowered" myself to dating you and all that jazz. I will then also be able to attest to whether or not "civie" sex with a hooker is less satisfying, etc.

The first is the little matter of the provider "supporting" her SO.  This is a non issue to me.  My wife has always made significantly more money then I do.  I was once asked if it bothered me that she made 2 to 3 times what I make and I said it certainly did: I wished she made 10 times what I do so we could buy a great summer house, a Paris apartment, etc etc.

Joi, thank you for that post - it was heartfelt.  And I agree.
Providers are like any other cross section of society.  There are good ones and bad ones.  But because they are providers it doesn't necessarily make them a certain way.

A lot of guys here don't have loving wives or families and considering how many of them can only afford a hooker once every few months, I doubt they/we all have great jobs..

I agree jealously can be an ugly monster, when I was in a serious relationship many moons ago, I fell victim to it and it was not a comforting feeling or reaction. I had to realize that if a man chose me, there was a reason and I had to reinforce his choices not my own insecurities. Once I did that, I figured out that (at least in my own mind) what was for me can not be "taken or replaced" by anyone else. It made things a whole lot better, happenstance that he then became jealous as I was no longer consumed with the who, what's and where's so he figured I didn't care anymore. What a koinkydink right?  

You're probably correct many can't handle it and to each his own, however, don't limit me to the dredges of society because of your (not you personally) lack of understanding is all I'm saying. Remember just because one doesn't know who their significant other is screwing behind their backs doesn't mean they hold a jem In hand. Providers are just open about it and actually get somethings for it.

 I do my homework pretty well so I've had many good experiences in the hobby.  And the kind of women I see are generally hardworking, fair, honest, and kind.  They are single moms trying to make ends meet, college students with bright futures, and ladies that just didn't enjoy the traditional nine to five and chose to become their own boss.  I've even met a few of the cliche'd "hooker with a heart of gold".  
   
 So, I fully agree with you that providers are awesome folk.  And you young lady most certainly have your act together.    
   
 And I've dated a provider back in my past.  Like any relationship - it takes lots and lots of communication, patience, understanding, and love.  And it is full of pitfalls - like jealousy.  But it certainly isn't impossible.

No explanation of myself provided. It was a general statement of fact about providers. For one to expand their thinking they have to have the lesson or knowledge of the alternative. If we don't meet them where they are (here) and bring them to our level who will, main stream media? Some still will never get the oxymoronic ideals they posses about hookers as they pay to lay next to us and somehow feel in a position of power above and over us but someone needs to give them the cheat code to get to this level. If they use it or not is up to them but a closed mouth never gets fed.
