I have run into a few providers recently who are allergic to latex. What brand of condoms do you like that are latex free that don't break ?

I want to carry some non-latex ones just in case they run out. Always better to be prepared than not prepared.

they offer the best protection, but good luck. I am not allergic to latex, but my vagina certainly does not like it lol. I use them because I have to, not because I want to.

The providers with the allergy tell me that there vagina and lips gets sore when they use latex condom.

With your case, do you think it is because you are not using lube ? I have noticed some providers will lube up condom really good so things slide in nice an easy.

That's why I said I am not allergic to it, but using condoms of any kind just annoys the hell out of me. Still, I would rather have an allergic reaction to a condom than use one that puts me at a higher risk of an STD.

They conduct heat better than latex, are thinner, and feel more natural. Trojan, Durex, Okimoto, and others make them.  They're great.

I have used the Okimoto, but was just made aware that Beyond Seven condoms are in fact latex, yet I don't have as much of an issue with them. Now, I am wondering if maybe it is just certain brands, the lube on them, the consistency, etc. that is the problem. Hmmm.

Dear Ms. Rayne:
Have you tried polyurethane? If so what is preventing you from using them more extensively? Also since you are using latex is there a certain brand that you like to use since your vagina tends to itch or breakout after intercourse? Also have you had a chance to discuss this with your local neighborhood dermatologist if not your GYN to discuss other options regarding barrier method prophylactics?  Remember it should be raining $$ not itches.

One of my favorite brands is Beyond Seven, but I have yet to notice if it is latex or not...I just like em better than most others I have used like Trojan and Lifestyles. I also hate female condoms, so that's not happening at all. Again, I am NOT allergic to latex so I don't "break out" or "itch" from it...just find them annoying.

Non latex, offer better protection than usual condoms.  Love them for girl - boy -girl play.

+1

Gotta read the fine print from WOTW's link...

Woman controlled contraception and disease prevention. Can be inserted seconds, minutes, or hours before sexual activity

***Latex-Free***, eliminating risk of latex sensitivity and allergic reactions. Doctor recommended.

***made of the highest quality natural rubber latex*** and manufactured in an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility with stringent quality assurance standards

Um.....so, is it latex or not?  :D

When you can get 100 from undercovercondoms.com for about $130?

Lifestyles Skyn. I love them. They come in regular and large size.  Unfortunately they do not come in XL size, so I still use Magnums for the XL. Skyn is polyurethane, not latex. Latex dries me up, plus I hate the smell and taste.

According to the CDC website, polyurethane is just as effective as latex in protection:

When used consistently and correctly, condoms are highly effective in preventing HIV infection. If you are sexually active, latex condoms provide the best protection against HIV infection. Polyurethane or plastic condoms may also be used and are good options for people with latex allergies. Natural membrane (such as lambskin) condoms are porous, meaning that fluids can seep through them, and therefore do not offer the same level of protection against HIV and other STDs.

Lifestyle Skyns are great... and though they don't offer a "magnum", the regular size is a little bigger than a standard condom, they don't choke off my blood supply like an ordinary trojan does :-)

Lambskin condoms are fucking awesome. I know they say they don't offer the same protection against HIV... I wonder if that has ever been quantified - in other words, do they offer some protection, or none at all?

Lambskin are porous.  May as well not be using a condom!  Hell no!

They sell them everywhere. They are non latex. They don't smell funny.
Nice and thin. They seem to stretch better tan latex too. So they fit well.
