TER used to have a setting that would block accounts you didn't care to see post from. I'm not able to find anything now. Did I just forget where it is or was that removed?

I seem to be using it more and more lately.
There's some who should try it or consider using it.

Click on the subject line of a post of by the poster you want to ignore.  Instead of the usual "Reply Quote Report Like!" options underneath every post (in small gray letters), the "main" post has a blue "Action" button drop down on the lower right. That drop down includes "Reply Quote Report This Post IGNORE USER" options.  I think "IGNORE USER" will let you ignore all posts by that poster.

I have never put anyone on "ignore" as I always thought that was silly. I don't need an "app for that." lol.

I can "ignore" the post just by...ignoring the post...honestly, is it really THAT hard?

Just kidding. I've never put anyone on "Ignore" either.
But did you really intend to say, "is it really THAT hard?" You just can't help yourself, it seems. ROR

Go to your "messages" page, click "Ignore List" and add the screen name to your list.  This is also where you go to check who is on your ignore list if you forget.

With that said, I agree with Jack that its a little silly.  The problem is that you will have a post in a thread that is ignored which will be blocked from your view, but you will still see all of the replies to that ignored post because the thread will continue with other posters that you have not blocked.  It just means you may not understand the context of what subsequent posters are saying because you didn't get to read the blocked post.

I find it therapeutic and calming to ignore posters. Although, when you walk into P and R and have ignored Laffy, about two-thirds of the posts and subjects are 'ignored'. Which tells you how much fucking spam certain posters are putting out there on this board. I have five members on "ignore" and its about one-third of the posts overall.

and actually even before they came out with the button, when people were asking for it. If I don’t want to read someone’s post, I just don’t read it. I don’t need a button for that. I guess some people can’t do that.

like LTM&M, I just skip over it  without reading, but  I leave it there so if I need to refer back to it to understand what someone else said farther down the thread, I can.  Otherwise, I have to remove the ignore, and then put it back on again, and that gets tiresome.
