well, not RIGGED ... almost ... "pre-determined" is perhaps a better way to put it! 
the problem is, all these contests (for best body parts, sans face) are unfair because the IDENTITY of the provider is known. so what happens is that providers round up all their clients/fans/etc and encourage them to vote for THEM. most often guys who are not cajoled into doing it end up subconciously rationalizing a vote for a girl not because she has the best body part in question but because she's their favourite provider (no doubt afterwards they send her a little gushing email saying: "i just voted for you sweetie!" ... this is their way of showering her with gifts (and potentially scoring a discount in the future)
when it comes to what's really going on with these contests, i don't think i need to invoke Cynicalman (or his "enfant-terrible" Cynicalman 2.0) to point out the obvious fact that:
it's all about that $500 prize!

of course it's not about the $500 prize! it's about publicity and generating new clientele as you and others have pointed out. i'm fully aware of that (i AM the re-incarnation of Cynicalman!) but since when did publicity and website foot-traffic become divorced from money?
but do folks honestly think that with something as highly-publicized at stake as "Ms. TER This-or-That" there's no behind-the-scenes shenanigans going on? that it's not (or shouldn't be) such a big deal?
with guys being able to vote unlimited # of times and some providers (who i've seen with my own eyes) championing them on the boards (not to mention the backchannel) what's going on is

thinking it's "innocent" phun is the least of it. if it was just that, women wouldn't put up these accolades on their websites ("I was voted Best-X by TER") and try to jack up their rates (not that i blame them or anything
