The Solution

Respect means to me, treating those how you want to be treated. I am a long time poster, and I have noticed in the past couple of months or so a drastic change on the boards.

I will probably be flamed, but I know that there are those out there both men and the females who I spoken with back channel feel the same way.

Lets end the finger pointing, name calling, throwing "titles" to a group of people. It only brings down the whole board.

I have also notice some of the old time posters no longer post both males and females. From my gathering, some of it has to do with certain attitudes of posters who want to piss everyone off.

I would like the friendliness we all use to have, reappear.

Thanks.

With the vague references you made is instead of addressing the root of this problem you are bringing up on the board it may send various 'groups' of providers or hobbyists into thinking just what does he (or she) mean by all this? Just as example you could say there is to much arguements when it comes to ladies non-negotiable rates or if its politics you mean or something else. Maybe it's obvious to folks what exactly you mean. But I think for most without further details this problem and its solution will remain known only to you and the "back channel" IMHO.

I do understand your point. But I feel if one poster is able to pick my meaning without having me to further elaborate on it, Maybe other's will. Or, maybe not. But I didn't want to start a war either by directly pointing fingers lol

Are you talking about one or two examples or a real trend?  I have only been on the board about three months but have been truly amazed at how much respect is afforded everyone on the board, even me. (expect for Singleton of course, but what can you expect from a little squirrel with big nuts) But moving on from that try going on an aol news board and see what disrecpect really is.

Where is the trend?  I just don't see it in the past 90 days.

There may be an occasional flame or two, and sometimes posts have a long trail of "yeah, but". However, considering the amount of posters on here, the breadth of the subject matter, and the number of intelligent adults involved who have long-established viewpoints (as opposed to a bunch of "kids" trying to "cyber" with someone), I think this discussion board is extremely well behaved.  The fact that people with as diverse viewpoints as some of the regulars on here have (and anyone who has been on here much in the past few months knows who some of the more "opinionated" people are...like myself, for instance! :P are able to mostly respect each other and keep to "topical" threads says a lot about the intelligence level of most TER members.
Human beings are bound to disagree, especially in a forum with few constraints other than maintaining a semblence of courtesy.

It never hurts to say "Hey, we can disagree and state our different viewpoints in a civil manner".  All things considered, though, I think this is already the case for the most part on TER, and I just want to say how cool I think this DB, and most of the people who post on it, are.

just go to the other board!  ;-)

speaking as a veteran of many internet boards and newsgroups (anybody remember them?) i can honestly say that TER is one of the better behaved ones (for a public board, that is)

Quite simple to me, let these ladies price themselves out of the market.

While I would never get in the way of anyone trying to make as much dough as they could, I see something of a paradox in their approach. They want to market on sites like TER and TBD and get as great reviews as possible and get promoted endlessly so they can charge top dollar, yet at the same time hold those so-called professional clients, who are usually fairly smart shoppers, in contempt, who are the ones who converse the most on the discussion boards of said sites.

The problem is that pricing has become a matter more of politics than of what the actual market will bear. The ladies can codify it all they want (usually in terms of personal security, but we're not talking advertising in the LA Xpress here), because ladies are capable of speaking only in code, and they too forget what code they're using from time to time, but the reality is with too many, it's become about power and control and not about running a business. How much riskier is being an escort today, than it was, say 15 years ago? Que tragique.
