the assistant is good-looking.  Otherwise, I would not want her in the room while we are doing our thing.  

 
Seriously, if the assistant is as organized and professional as agency bookers, then I would have no problem and would actually prefer that.  It eliminates all the phoney-baloney "Oh baby, I can't wait to see you" messages leading up to the appointment.  However, if the assistant screws up the booking, I'm going to take it out on the provider by not booking again.  In legal jargon, its a concept called respondeat superior.

I don't like it. I'd rather be exchanging a brief into with the girl I am going to meet. A booker takes away the fun/flirty aspect of initial communications. That said, I can see the upside for the provider:

if she's too busy with a RL career to respond promptly, or she's just really unorganized, or she get inundated with 50 requests/day, she has someone to help.

Girls with less than stellar English language skills can also benefit from a good communicator.

Please don't EVER blame your booker for miscommunications/over-scheduling/screening misunderstandings, etc... It's YOUR booker. Own any mistakes!

Several years ago I saw a well-reviewed provider with a booker. The booker gave me the wrong hotel room number. Luckily, no one answered the door. Found a secure place to call the booker back and then got the correct room number. The provider was unhappy with the booker's failure.

You'll find most bookers work covertly. Meaning that the guys don't know that she's monitoring and answering emails and texts. Its the best way to have a booker and not have to face guys who think she's a pimp.

And I always ask the ladies if they would like their clients to know they have an assistant or to book as them. I just assume do it quietly so no one knows considering clients seem to be split down the middle on whether or not they like 'bookers'

We did have one of our smaller email-only, agencies in the Raleigh (RDU) NC area where the male, agency manager pretended to be an attractive female and even had female photos posted so clients thought they were booking with a hot female.  He went as far as flirting with clients over email ...
So yeah, don't do that  CUZ it's fucking weird!

Otherwise, it's OK to have a booker.

I've been considering it; however, I really do prefer answering my emails, calls, & texts. That way, I can start building a rapport from the beginning, rather than chiming in at the "appropriate time".  

However, I have sent emails to a few friends that are in the industry and low and behold it was their assistant. Some of them really do pick up on how to "sound" like the provider they work for.

I want to know.

I want to know whether I am talking to a booker when I reach out, or whether I am talking to the provider herself.  Otherwise, can lead to some weird moments.

Also, I prefer that final communications (the "I've arrived" and "Come on up" messages) are with the provider herself. When communication is handed off from the booker to the provider should be clear, and when I'm in the parking lot waiting I prefer to be reaching out to the provider herself. Again, it feels very awkward and impersonal otherwise.  

Aside from those preferences, it really doesn't matter to me if a booker/screener is used at all.

It's fine, but it becomes the booker's responsibility to communicate a client's details to you in advance. For example, if he mentions an allergy to certain deodorants or perfumes, that information needs to get to the provider in time. It goes the other way too: If the provider suddenly needs to break a day of appointments for a personal reason, the booker must communicate back to the clients in time. The risk, in my opinion, is more about lost information than seeming impersonal.

If it's a close choice between two ladies, I'll deal with the one without a booker.  I've been burned by stupid bookers before - on more than one occasion.  If the lady can't handle it all herself, it's a reflection on her to at least a small extent.

I believe that the above saying is applicable to many of life's endeavors, including this field in which you ladies work.  I personally would not trust anyone else to handle communications on my behalf properly and would want to do it myself. Other posters on this thread have cited examples that demonstrate why providers may want to do it themselves.

Indeed, I have found in practice that bookers are often less competent at arranging appointments than the providers themselves, which defeats the purpose of having a booker. I have lost interest in several providers because their bookers dropped the ball during the booking process. This has also happened with providers that do not (overtly) use bookers, but less frequently.

As others have said, some are good, some are horrible.  I hate screening with who I think is a provider then getting a return email saying "Your screening is complete, (Provider) suggests a 90 min introductory session for first time clients, etc."  I prefer to speak directly with the lady I am going to see, however I do understand the need for an assistant if the demand is high for the provider, assuming she has a real world job etc..

Bad example: Booked a lady with an agency/assistant.  Arrived and texted/emailed the assistant as directed.  20 minutes later decided to call, I assumed they forgot about me.

lots of pros and cons, but I prefer to communicate directly and I like the flirting before and after the appointment. I just don't like the 3rd person in on all the details of    a. my screening info  and  b.  my preferences for the date . Just seems creepy.  

There's the good and the bad, booker or hooker. No one wants an escort that is untimely with correspondences prior to and/or leading up to the engagement.

I don't have a preference, yet have had enjoyable repartee with escorts past and present, and more serious discourse with agency owners, hookers and bookers for indys.  

Yesterday, a booker sent me pictures of a client asking which ones she should use on her client's website, even tho I haven't seen her client in almost a year. I wasn't surprised to see she used the ones I thought were most flattering. We've also had some very serious conversations that have helped keep us both safe.  

Expectations can be a bitch. Temper them and enjoy the ride. Enjoy your preferences, but consider being open to that which is new. It's no different searching for a spinner one day and a BBW another. That's my take. I swing both ways. Booker or hooker. It's more about the object of my affection than the process.  

I guess I Trust the Processes

I do understand why you would want or even need an assistant to handle screening and scheduling.  However, I personally prefer to speak directly with the lady that I'm going to meet, and so I don't book with someone who uses one.  

...and I have yet to deal with an assistant or booker. I deal strictly with independent women and like to have the fewest number of people involved with the session setup. No assistant, no booker, no agency -- just her and me.

I have had a few booking assistants who were great and another who was a complete child. This pushy assistant turned me off.  

Personally I like providers who have the intelligence and there is a big difference. Plus speaking directly with a provider I like the opportunity we get to lightly flirt as well

and false info if one claims to be independent. ijs. Withhold intelligence & be articulate to book your own meetings. Most importantly BE YOURSELF. Originality is purely sexy within its self.

I definitely prefer to talk directly with the lady I will be meeting. That's why I don't call agencies.

I don't care --- either way.  I just want professional and efficient communication.  Over-communicating is key.  And perhaps most importantly, I want to know who I am communicating with.  That is usually easily accomplished when the assistant has a signature block that makes it clear that she is not the provider.  Having said all that, it is great when a lady can build a little suspense and get me thinking about her prior to the appointment, especially for those appointments that are booked well in advance.  That usually requires some sort of communication with the provider.      

I had a assistant for a short time and it was nice. It helps with screening and taking calls and what not. But it can become frustrating at times as the assistant is very different then the way I would handle things via text, email or calling. It is totally up to the provider on how she likes to do things but I find it wonderful being able to handle things the way I like them on my own. Assistants are wonderful but for me it did not work.
