The content of reviews has been discussed here ad infinitum.  Not sure if your remark about "honest, good, reviews" was rhetorical but you almost imply TER Admin should focus on "improving" reviews.  Maybe I read your post wrong.

 
BUT.......if you are hinting TER Admin can improve the accuracy of reviews, then I must remind you;  this is an age old problem.  Creating an objective system to evaluate subjective behavior is near impossible, again for reasons stated here many times over.  If you ever worked for the government or a large organization, just consider their performance appraisal systems and how over or under inflated they are based on the human factor and the difficult of documenting human perception/opinion tainted by varying degrees of favoritism.

 
If we use our own internal margin of error, as we determine how best TER reviews satisfy our needs, or even the "gymnastics" model by throwing out the high and low, IMHO TER reviews satisfy their purpose.  There will NEVER be a perfect system, no matter how hard we try.

I have to pay for this site just like you do.  
Just because you see a gal and it is not all fireworks that does not mean someone else could not see her and it was amazing for him. Not sure why you think if a review is completely different then you experience that the review must be "fake".

1.  P411
2.  Personal Website

***If they don’t have both of these I go no further.  It is my opinion that providers who do not have P411 and their own personal website haven’t really taken their business too seriously and don’t have that professional appeal that I’m looking for so I simply avoid them.  They need to invest a little in themselves before I will.  

3.  If they have Twitter I’ll give it a cursory look to get a general feel about her personality.  (Many providers that I might have otherwise seen made my DNS list really fast because of  their Twitter behavior.  On the other hand, there have been some providers that I was on the fence about but the way they comport themselves on Twitter was a plus and I ended up seeing them).   I also like Twitter because it more often than not shows somewhat recent pics.  

4.  I look at the TER profile.  If the services aren’t what I’m used to I move on.

I look at scores but don’t get bogged down on them.  If there are a lot of 7s I move on.  Consistent 8-10s are what I look for and I might read the most recent two or three reviews.  I usually won’t see a provider unless she has at least a full page of reviews with most of them written by clients having a history of providing multiple fair and honest reviews here on TER.  I judge fair and honest by a range of scores on their reviews.  

I don’t get bogged down in the verbiage of the reviews.  All I look for is that the activities that took place in the reviews match up with what’s listed on their profile.  For example, if their profile states BBBJ/CIM but all of their reviews mention CBJ I’ll move on.

I totally understand why there might be a bad review here and there.; and I can overlook them if they are infrequent.   This has been discussed here on TER ad nauseam.  I also tend to overlook all the 10-10s, especially if they were written by someone with a history of writing nothing but 10-10s or those who write two reviews back to back to get free time here on TER.  Of course some 10-10s are legit, but not multiple pages full of them.   IMHO, there is nothing wrong with 8-9s.  

Bottom line for me, TER is a big positive for the honest and professional providers.   Also, I don’t believe that these providers have anything to fear about TER, at least not from the type of clientele that they would value. If a provider falls in this camp, and there are many here that do, than I am way more than willing to see them. On the other hand, TER tends to expose those providers, in a variety of ways, who are not truthful or professional.  It’s my strong opinion that TER is a boon for both providers and clients.  I do the vast, vast amount of my hobbying in Las Vegas and there are so many very reputable providers in LV that I have met only because I have learned more about them on TER.  There are plenty left to see so I’m really happy that TER is back, hopefully for the long haul...

That's it in a nutshell, full stop. In order to fulfill that purpose they've (the original owners) created a service that appeals to two constituencies with often competing agendas. Providers naturally want to maximize revenue while clients want to maximize their experiences at what they perceive to be a good exchange of service for money. TER has a balancing act because they need to keep the pendulum, which tends to always be in motion, from swinging too far in either direction. How well the current owners manage these demands remains to be seen. One thing is certain, however, neither group will ever be entirely happy with the kinds of compromises that are an inevitable feature of such a situation.

The whole purpose of this site is intel, or put plainly, data. It's the largest global database of who provides what kind of sex work where. Anyone who's seen more than a couple providers knows that reviews are subjective measures, and after a dozen or so, you get a feel for how to find what you're looking for on here.

 
That sounds like a so-so service, but the alternative is playing roulette, hopefully finding someone who you like, and seeing them until they retire. That sounds dandy, but, going in blind means you're opening yourself up to risk, and, if any of us wanted to just bang one chick, it's far simpler to just date normally if the alternative is so poor. With TER, the alternative is far simpler than that.

Being a foreigner who had issues getting appointments with providers from time to time during the recent dark era, I made it a point to get tight with a few ladies so I wouldn’t have to deal with vetting providers and all that mess when I didn’t have or know of good resources. I’ve come to know four types of reactions to the return of TER so far.

 
1) Confident indifference - Two providers I’m a regular with maintained a solid business without TER by establishing themselves well enough and through their own types of online presence. Their business has remained the same, and are seemingly indifferent with TER’s return. One of them has always been with an agency, and the other always independent and barely ever advertises. The agency girl is incall only, and the independent does incall and outcall.

2) Thankful glee - One provider I’m a regular with was ecstatic that TER was back because her business suffered a great deal. She had to take extra risks, met some unsavory types along the way, and felt unsafe more often than she liked. Her business has picked back up since TER’s return, and she’s much happier. She’s an independent who does incall only.  

3) Concerned yet optimistic - Two providers I was a semi-regular with both did fairly well while TER was down. Due to the lack of details and reviews on them, they both got new business more often and pulled in a few regulars from those. Since TER’s return, however, their new business has declined. Coincidentally, due to both of them formerly having a TER presence, it might help them separate themselves and rise to the top on their websites of choice. One of them voiced her hope of this being the case. The other is worried that she puts herself at risk by getting back on TER. Both are independent and do incalls and outcalls.

4) Better off without TER - One provider who I no longer see was much better off without TER. Her reviews and comments were much more positive elsewhere, and she benefited a great deal from her TER reviews being unavailable to most people. She also had more control over what was allowed to stay posted about her. She has seen her business and number of new reviews decline gradually over the last three months. Although she did not come out and say it, I had to assume it was because the combination of her ad, pictures, and inflated reviews were a real boon to her business while the TER reviews were more accurate and revealing. She only does incalls.

 
While this is only information based on what I was told by a small pool of six providers who all occupy different niches of the hobby, it does begin to reveal a little about why a provider would feel a certain type of way about TER’s return. There are countless other reactions, I’m sure, but I hope there are more positive than negative feelings.

From my standpoint as a hobbyist and longtime user of TER, I no longer have need of the other websites, can hobby with more confidence and less fuss, and I am certainly thankful for it.

For me it's been a source of FUN

I paid of a short time but couldn't afford it. Then I started posting and reading stupid comments and just funny crazy stuff.  
One time before TER when dark I was kicked out and banned from it. When it went dead I asked to be reinstated and I was. Now I'm more serious. But still I see stupid post and long fights and name callings. Yeah, that was always part of TER the fights and the "train wrecks" they used to call them. Also the drama between providers and there were a couple of clearly crazy providers. I was always on the side of the crazy ladies.  
Back in the day TER was mostly Los Angeles and it had a chat room. It was easier to get to know people in real life and at M&G's.  
Yes, TER was just a source of fun for me. To laugh at life and fake forbidding society. Posting links to YouTube mostly punk rock videos and pics of young looking 18 year old from the net. But making the others uncomfortable and question them.  
Just posting controversial or "trouble making" posts as some providers and gents that didn't like me would say.  
Oh yeah it was fun. But I've grown up a little.

To me TER was a way to narrow down MY preferences. DFK, BBBJ, B cups ect. That to me was worth every penny. But we all know the first reviewer sets the parameters of services provided. Possibly later a lady will offer more or to a certain client. That is why the details are important to me. For a while I got into the banter and made some friends. Actually met some fellow hobbyist. Loved going to meet and greets and seeing the ladies first hand before booking. I tried to stay away from the bickering and feuds. Listen I love this hobby and truly enjoy the time time I spend with the ladies. I really think for the most part TER does an outstanding job of providing information that helps me decide who I want to spend my hard earned cash on. I've yet to meet a provider that has had good to excellent reviews that I didn't enjoy my time with. Yes there have been times where we may not have hit it off as much as others but it wasn't because of misinformation. I do think some kind of check and balance from the provider is warranted and should be available but agree it is difficult to regulate.
