Are the dangers of BBBJ's & DATY under-appreciated?

Approaching it from a clinical frame of mind, there are dangers with all of this, and almost all of us wouldn't even think about going BB, but aren't the risks of getting something permanent from BBBJ's and/or DATY a bit under mentioned, making them seem a bit unlikely...?

  I realize there is an increased likelihood of getting something from a $20 crack fan in an ally vs a $500 provider, but as a rule providers only see men who are the types of men who see providers  ;)   And as we all know, there's almost nobody who sees one and then never again.   So who's to say Mr executive who sees $500 Jane Doe on Tuesday wont/didn't have a $50 "opportunity"  on his way back to his hotel room while he was away last weekend?

  When someone in porn gets something it's tracked, and even becomes a national story; how often does (or would) someone who gets something from a provider report or publicize it, so that we could even roughly gauge the chances and dangers...?

  I don't want to put providers or hobbyists in any bad light, (hey, I'm here too) I'm just wondering if it's crossed anyone else's mind and what the real risks are, and how real or unlikely they are.

All we can do is do our part and get tested.

If you don't want to go to a family doctor or one where you may run in to someone, find the local GLBT that does free testing. They're usually walk in. If you call planned parenthood they can guide you.  
It's awesome for the ladies, not only do you keep check of your sexual health, but you get to leave with a goodie bag. The last one that I went to let me take as many female condoms as I wanted. They didn't even watch. Guys can take goodie bags too, I just meant in reference to ladies being able to stock up. Those single use lube packets are not cheap

Now when you say "they didn't even watch"...hmmm...sounds like maybe it wasn't a "goody bag" but a ROB?

That's awesome. I have been going to my gynecologist's office frequently for testing since September. This last time she said, "I've been seeing you a lot lately. Been having lots of fun since your divorce, huh?" Uhhhh, yeah single life is great. Hahahaha! She's been my gynecologist for years, so I've just been going to her. I might try calling planned parenthood though.

She does know that I have multiple partners where I use condoms for the sex but not the oral. :)
The one question that I lie about is the, "have going ever had sex in exchange for money or drugs?"
I figure if I ever get caught, I'll just say... "Oh, sorry.. I only heard the drugs part." :)

Doctors are legally prohibited from sharing your medical information with anyone, don’t you? Next time your doctors office asks you to fill out the privacy forms (they have to update it once a year) take few minutes and read. They form has section where you can tell them to whom they can release the information.

It is called Health Information Privacy Protection Act. Medical information cannot be disclosed even to your significant other without your permission.  

Grandma’s days of doctors gossiping is gone.

It can be nerve wrecking for someone to get tested, so anything to make it easier. Like, lowering the chances of bumping in to your nosey neighbor. :)

Everyone should do their research and take whatever precautions they feel are warranted with regard to all STD's and HPV. Some online research says it is reaching pandemic numbers.  Don't know how true or untrue their numbers are but it sucks one of the best pleasures in life (DATY) can potentially come with cancerous pitfalls!

ask your doctor about gardisil or gardicil whatever the fuck its name was lol  I recall my doc whined about how it's mostly for women and men under age of 26 blah blah blah...  then I told him what I'm up to and he gave me the shot right away.  rofl

it works for men too.  a must for both mongers,  mongerees,  and mongerettes

From what I know this is for pre-teens to teenagers.
Most everyone who is in this hobby is past the age, myself included.

My teenagers have both received the vaccines when they were younger  
because of the pandemic numbers in older people.  The seriousness of HPV
is the whole reason it exists and is recommended that all youth receive.  

It's been a few years already since my kids got their shots, as it is a series of three.
Perhaps more updated info and slight changes have been made but I don't think the  
vaccine is any different than it was three years ago.

Please correct me if I am wrong. Perhaps some providers here in their early 20's can  
speak on it.

The vaccine only covers about 4 strains of the virus. From my understand, there are over a hundred strains. I'll post a link later because that number might be off.

That's what my doctor told me too, he was giving me the age and gender limit thing. But think about it, does a 30-something year old body change all that much since his 20s?   I was pretty certain it's just a 'CDC recommendation' thing to cover the majority risk group.

Being a monger and a provider puts us in a different risk group, imo.

And I sure as hell can use the immunity to 90% of the genital warts.  
If the shots don't cost me all that much to get, even better.

My understanding from several articles that I read is that men were seeing their DRs in record numbers with sore throats that turned out to be throat cancer. Ie; Michael Douglas the cancer was HPV from Daty

NGU  which is another word for "we don't know what it is but it's a bacterial infection that is not gonnacocal."  anti biotic treatment and pooof!  clean again.  Surprisingly,  that's the only thing I've ever caught. I don't see Street walkers only highly reviewed girls.  

Everything else I'm negative.  I get tested frequently cuz I am a clean-o-phile.  

I get BBBJ but I rarely do daty...  only if the girl is incredibly attractive.  
I shower twice a day and use anti bacterial hand sanitizers frequently.  

Also, I have gotten immunization for hep A, hep b, HPV so I'm not too worried about those.  herpes,  hep c vaccines are getting trials done, but I'm sure there will be a brand new deadly std by then.  

I forgot what else they got,  anyone know? I'm sure there are some more vaccines that came out?

flat out liars lying thru their teeth....  or simply haven't seen that many girls / clients.  

I'm actually surprised NGU was ALL I ever caught though, considering how many times I have received BBBJ DFK etc.  

While the chances of an HIV infection seem very very low (if you're using rubber and not doing anything too stupid), it appears there are other bacterias and viruses out there that aren't really part of the known STD group.  I think that's what I had, so they label it "NGU"... cuz they don't really know or want to put in the effort to know.  Most of the time, the immune system likely fights off the sissy viruses (like cold).  

The ones it can't fight off make it to the pandemic list but only when enough people die from it or get infected by it. lol  HIV used to be the killer death sentences but it seems those with HIV live just as long as non-HIV positive people... close to finding a cure too.  

I bet another brand new deadly STD will spring up within our lifetime though. Always ahead of modern medicine. I think if I was a biologist, it'll drive me insane looking at that nasty stuff under the microscope

Strong abx can get rid of most of them.  

Having a cut or open sore in your mouth can increase the likelihood of getting HIV from oral. I had some dental work done and my XSD wanted to see me. I told him I could but I could only give cbj because I had an extraction. So, yeah CBJ only when a gal has gotten dental work.

I've caught two colds since I started officially hooking in February. That's too much, but what's sex without kissing, seriously?

TROJANS SUPRA non latex are pretty good. So good that EVERY provider I've used them with has done the "is it still on" check because they are so thin. I've never had one break, but they are a little more expensive than the old latex covers so I guess you do get what you pay for.

with most of my money on Pimples  
and trying to be a good investor by diversifying the bets to different stupidity sectors like tucky and fungy,  I think my retirement is gonna be quite financially secure.  

If the tucky futures indicators foreshadowed anything last night,  the stupidity sector is heating up lately and I hear it is resistant to market fluctuations.  LMA

The answers are pretty standard so just search for them. But basically:

The risk is not zero but relatively low unless you see open active genital herpes lesions. It's prob NOT a healthy "hobby" for you if you're so concerned about std risk with bbbj and daty. I'm a little surprised you're asking this after so many reviews. Is this more cheating guilt?  

See a hc professional if you're really stressed- don't rely on a free f board full of johns, hookers, Le, and teenagers using their parents' computers.
