I purchase it with cash, take a photo of it, attach it to the email and let it fly. I only send them to ladies who have a long track record of handling them professionally and only for approx 25% of the full tab. I would not feel comfortable at all with your method but each person handles their business as they see fit based on their own risk tolerance.

Hello everyone, once again! :)

I've noticed numerous debates on various forums, including this one, regarding providers requesting deposits and hobbyists expressing discontent for various reasons. The primary concern is the potential for scams, given the absence of a dedicated escrow service provider supporting such transactions in this industry.  

In these cases, deposits are typically made directly to an account. Or am I uninformed? What are the options that providers seek for deposits?

However, have you considered utilizing an escrow payment service for deposits, particularly with cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin? This approach would enable hobbyists to furnish evidence of their deposit, and providers could request the release of the Bitcoin deposit once both parties reach an agreement, such as when they meet.

Similar to my previous post, I'm simply seeking to understand the community's viewpoint.

I do not do deposits and only take payment in cash, but I did do my first bit coin transaction yesterday to upgrade my ad on tr*st.  
So....after set up.....electronic wallet......successful transfer......every jerk on the planet took a transaction fee, and I was left with $72 after I put in $100.  
Someone will have to explain to me in detail, please feel free to use crayons, how this is beneficial to anyone.  
I knew going in there was going to be transaction fees, but $28 on $100? That is outrageous.

There's no central authority.  So bitcoin transactions are processed on a voluntary basis, as I understand it. It takes processing power and time as well as electrical power to verify a transaction.  The first one(s?) to verify the transaction gets the fee.  The higher the fee  you are willing to pay, the more people will chose that transaction to attempt to verify.  Since only one (or a few?) can win the race to verify, most verification attempts don't pay off for the people attempting to verify.

That's my sketchy understanding of bitcoin transactions.  It's probably wrong on the details, but I think the overview is generally correct.

Bitcoin makes certain non-cash transactions possible that would otherwise be blocked by bank and credit card policies (or by some government laws.)  It's inefficient for day to day normal purchases that can be handled by standard electronic funds such as debit and credit cards, checks, and certainly cash.

Trust me, don't do it!! lol  
You can also pay with a CC, but tr*st only takes mastercard, and I only have a visa.  
I *stupidly* thought it would be simple like venmo. It is not.
