that you have taken an escort to. A wedding? A funeral(ever notice how "funeral" has FUN in it?)? There was a time recently when i considered taken someone with me to be my cheerleader as-it-were. I imagine what would be involved in that type of date. What if you run into someone you know,or even are 'questioned'? Real names would be paramount. A little background on each other probably. Would you be afraid to take an escort with you out in public? Of course not. How do YOU go about it?

I took an escort to a company Christmas Party years ago. Before i became so very independant. All i would ask is that the slobbering be kept to a minimum.

Most interesting was taking a provider to a business formal dinner.  I had planned on going myself but late in the planning I was told I had to bring a date.  She was great:  looked the part, was a great conversationalist.  The only problem was some of the other guys (both were some of the foreign guests) tried to hit on her.  She coyly turned them down and clung to my arm more tightly.  I was very surprised because one of the guys had his wife a few feet away as he hit on my date and the wife, watching the whole thing, showed no reaction either way.

I've been to a funeral with a provider, but that was for one of her friends.  I wouldn't categorize that as "fun".  My friend was very, very upset about it and my focus was on keeping her holding it together.

I would NEVER recommend such outings unless the two of you already know each other well.  Real names and backgrounds make it easier but are probably not completely essential.

...about a year ago she was contacted via pms by a hobbyist, after a month he let her know he'd be in town & gave her the hotel for her to meet him at. He paid for the room. Their 1 hr date was @ 6 pm...he showed up & said he was in hurry, he was on his honeymoon, & told his wife he was going out to pick up some dinner,so he had time for a quickie, they went at it for 30 min, he jumped in the shower & went to go get food, said he would just tell his new bride he got loss.

They were in the same hotel, my provider friend was kinda grossed out, & said if she knew before, she wouldn't have seen him.

The newlyweds should have a great life together I'm sure.

Not that I would do something like that, mind you, but the fact some other dude had the BALLS to do something like that, well, strikes me as funny.

Then again, I laugh when people fall down a flight of stairs also...
