You planning on going on tour?

What is an adequate notice to advise of the dates you will tour a city? I would think 2 or 3 days is not enough. At least a week after the first notice. How can you expect to get prebooks on a two day notice. I would like some input from the clients and providers.

Typically most providers will feel the waters to see if they are going to cover expenses and make enough of a profit to travel.

Many of the providers I see post their travel plans at least 1 month in advance, but change them if they don't get enough bites.

Duh no

I noticed a provider posted 3 days before a tour than cancelled because no one booked. I thought she needed to give the clients a little more notice.

Of course like us sometimes opportunities come up at the last minute, but that doesn't mean she will forgo getting the bookings before hand. I have taken a provider on a mini trip we decided we both needed to get away for two days as friends. She would only go if she could get bookings from regulars so that she would not take a loss of income while we were away. So she put the word out got the bookings she needed we went away she took care of business and spent the next day just being tourists together. It was all spur of the moment but happened to work out.  The point being is even in a providers life sometimes opportunities come along that don't allow for a lot of advance notice but it is still worth it to post the ad and see if it will work out.
