I hope no one feels that I am trying to diminish their upset... I am just trying to lighten the mood!

Let's play a rousing round of the Glad Game!  What makes YOU glad?  Here are a few things that make me glad:

- Comic Book Tattoo, a collection of comics based on Tori Amos songs... nifty!

- my son's sudden fondness for "In The Night Kitchen" by Maurice Sendak... he just jumps around hollering "milk in the batter, milk in the batter!"

- the cute new outfit I bought at Charlotte Russe today!

- the beautiful weather we've had for the last 2 days.

I'm glad I no longer live in Houston after seeing what Hurrican Ike did to that area...

And glad that the folks in that area came through with less damage than was predicted!

I am glad that:

I am in good health, alive and aware
Reading the P&R board is not mandatory
I like my job
I like to exercise
When I can balance my deep feelings with reason
The election will be over soon
I'm so damn good looking
I have access to three Indian restaurants
Van Morrison and Neil Young are from my era
When my mind is peaceful
Beavis and Butthead, Simpsons, South Park among other moronic pleasures
Humor
Spirituality
When I feel chemistry with a woman
My ability to forgive myself and others
I have my kitty's ashes
I am 55 and ready for what awaits me after this life.  
Actually if I go to hell I have this fear I will be eternally lost on Sarah Palins bridge to nowhere and have to listen to her talk about it thru eternity

I'm glad:
- it's Tuesday and I'll be even gladder when it's Wednesday!
- when I get emails from special friends.
- that the  weather is nice and fall is on it’s way.
- even when I treat someone poorly, they forgive me.
- I’m healthy and above ground.
- I have a good job.
- I have a good book to read and good music to listen to.
- I have this good cuppa Joe to help wake me up this morning!
- when I get to spend time with a lovely lady.

I am glad that:
*my children are healthy and happy.

*fall is finally arriving.

*I no longer sweat the little stuff.

*(and grateful) for the wonderful friends that I have met here.

*the Raven's look to have a decent quarterback. (We'll see how glad I am in a few weeks, lol)

Despite all the problems the modern age of computers might bring, I live to a great extent just to join up with all of you on here everyday.

Then there is fresh corn on the cob, but if I go there I'll never stop.

Things I'm currently glad about:

- Kids happy and healthy

- Still have a good job

- Meeting good, supportive folks online here

- Finally found an answer to something that has been bothering me for years

- Upcoming dates (okay... in the next 3 months; I'm a plan-ahead guy)

- Indoor plumbing

- Another day where I'm still not dead

Too many things to mention really, but here are a few:
At 67, I still feel really good, am active sexually, have retained my optimism and sense of adventure, have good health.
I have really enjoyed the people I have met here.
I am very happy for the ladies I have met, the pleasure they have given me, and my new civie obsession who makes me feel alive and warm and loved and even sexy.
My young and not so young children and my grandchildren: all of whom I love madly.
The presence and relative good health of my 95 year old mother.
My patients and students.
The chance you have given me, by this post, to indulge myself with this answer.

the second, and sometimes third chances that this life has afforded me.

I'm glad for the people, friends, family, and complete strangers who have stood by me, and cared enough to help me come back from some pretty horrible places.

And finally, I'm glad for this hobby, for the friends I've made. Some I've met, both ladies and gentlemen. Some I will be fortunate enough to meet, and some I will never get the chance to meet, but they are friends nevertheless. Even the ones who only humor me with emails and PM's are my electronic friends.

It's a wonderful life, and everything smells like cookies.
