I did something I rarely do, which was make a date with an escort (most of my playing is usually agency or brothel). The fee was $400, which is normal these days for LA, but I thought a little overpriced. I really liked the young lady, she's very attractive to me; the service was competent, and at a slightly lower rate I'd happily see her again, and I'd certainly refer her to friends. So why am I feeling a little empty about the whole deal, you know, like something is missing?

By local standards she would get an 8+/8 from me, which is probably a slightly below average score (for inner beauty, no doubt, she'd get a 10, or close to it, but I don't believe we get to score on that) for her profile.

A couple things in mind: I just got back from Europe, and have traveled all over the world; also the universe yesterday was playing one monolith-sized practical joke on me. In Germany, the service was generally a notch better at a fraction of the price, and there are many places in, say, Brazil and Thailand where the girl doesn't really deliver in the room, she doesn't work. One of my partners in crime cheerfully tells me, "Welcome to America, Six!", and suggests that I have been spoiled by the higher bar which is set in other countries.

I don't mean to be sour, and this isn't about the provider, it's more about me, and the conditions of contest locally. Are things that much out of whack here, or is it just me? Don't be afraid in not sugarcoating your responses. I'm aware it may not be fair to make the Germany/LA comparison, but women are women the world over and theoretically know what guys want. In general I have found that  foreign women often provide better service in general. I think it represents cultural diffrences. I believe your generalization is far too broad. While I have not partied in LA recently I can assure you that not all German girls provide superior service.

I'm not sure that $400 is necessarily the bar for LA either. there are other highly reviewed ladies at higher rates. But yes you do expect a heck of a time for $400. The problem is you stayed longer and therfor paid half price. For $200 I'd say an 8/8 is fuckin dynamite. I'd pay that every day and probably twice a day.

The women who work in Germany, if you read the post, come from all over the world. Most are not German. But it's a much more social atmosphere, and like you all they're trying to do is better themselves. Unlike LA, most are under 30yo.

Finally, you should be eternally grateful that you pitched your tent in LA. You'd be working for less in pretty much most of the rest of the USA (save NYC, where hamburgers are $11). Consider Miami. Why do you think all these agencies send their girls all over the USA? Because many of these so-called "creamers" or "wildthings" can't even get $200 on a regular basis locally! There are a couple of ladies I saw whom I paid a lot more than their hourly rates.  For the amount of money I spent, I could have seen many, many new beautiful ladies in US and abroad.  Sometimes I do question whether I am doing the right thing for myself.  However, I have strong feelings towards them and after my recent Europe trip with many new faces (some of them are 10s and 9s), I think I made the right decision.

Just follow what your heart tells you.  If you feel happier seeing ladies in foreign lands, continue to do so.  If you really like that young lady, even though you think her rate is a bit high, go see her a few more times to gauge your feelings.  Life is too short to second guess yourself.

I know what you mean. The more I have paid for a provider the more hard-boiled they have been. Every hardened provider with a hole thinks theirs is the Best and is worth $$$. I have had good and bad experiences everywhere at various rates.  With one or two exceptions, i have alweays found that the response i would get from a lady is directly proportional to the way i treat them (and my frame of mind at the time).

Treat the lady like a lady (irrespective of their age), and you will receive it back tenfold. On the other hand, treat the lady like dirt, and you will receive dirt in return.

As far as rates are concerned, the market normally determines the rates based on various factors, so i would not say that the rates over here are out of sync with the rest of the world.

Basically, the brothel I went to in Germany had 80-120 women from all over the world, the worst performed to a 7.5, with the average performance standard close to 9.
