Can a hobbyist lower their risk of getting STDs by avoiding women that offer Greek?

After all (1) anal sex is one of the main ways that HIV is transmitted, (2) condoms are more likely to break/fail during anal sex (as compared to vaginal sex), (3) having anal sex before having vaginal sex can put harmful anal bacteria in the vagina, (4) anal sex is a higher risk activity in general.

Are women that offer Greek more likely to have STDs?

and answer and information to back it up?
Whay would anyone thing that the PayForPlay people on this board would be qualified to give an answer that was something other than their personal position on the matter?

Are you seeing providers bareback? I mean if your wrapping up what does it matter whether your having anal or vaginal sex?

Guess they were right.  You are confusing anal with a lady to some of the unprotected sexual exploits of gay men!  ( I know I'll take a bashing for that, but I don't give a shit)
Look, these ladies use protection, which is the #1 way to prevent HIV/AIDS.  The CDC puts out scare messages to try to promote what the government considers MORAL behavior. Like their projected "death toll" from the H1N1 flu which turned out to be a total farce!

Nevermind all the crap you hear, if you are that worried about it, don't kiss, get cbj's, no intercourse, etc.  Can't be much fun hobbying while you are scared shitless. I think YOU are more likely to die from a stress induced MI than any STD.

Just get married!  Then you will have only one partner, and she is less likely to give you any sex. Not much fun, but you'll be able to sleep, not having nightmares about all sorts of "wee beasties" crawling into your body thru your urethra!

A real answer to your question that did not involve conjecture would require epidemiological studies. Since I'm not aware of one that's been conducted in the provider community, any statement about what might be safer or not is basically talking out of one's ass.

There's also confounding factors. Completely hypothetical: Provider A has a boyfriend who's a secret IV drug user, but doesn't do anal; Provider B does anal, but doesn't have a boyfriend. Which one's riskier for STDs? Which one has the "risky" activity on their reviews? See the problem here?

So, to sum up, if worrying about what your sex partner might or might not be doing is going to ruin your experience, and cause you to post unanswerable questions here, you're better off stamp collecting. If, however, knowing that some level of risk is unavoidable if you want pay-for-play, what you CAN do is wrap that rascal and take actions on YOUR part to control risk, rather than needlessly speculate about your future sex partners. You just have to come to terms with the fact that you are taking some risk on.

The higher risk for HIV in the gay community is because of anal sex, not because they are gay.  Do you really believe that being gay automatically makes these men more likely to have unprotected sex?  That isn't meant as a bash so much as a cognitive assessment.

If there is a higher risk of transmission through anal sex then the provider is at a higher risk of contracting an STD, regardless of sexuality.  If you are engaging in said higher risk anal sex then you are also at a greater risk.  Vaginal sex carries the same risk of contraction no matter how many Greek exploits the provider may have had in the past.

The key here is having a responsible provider.  The provider may be putting herself at a higher risk, but you are assuming the same risk no matter what.

about this responsibility

make decisions that meet your own risk versus reward criteria

and

test frequently for STDs

this is a basic responsibility of any hobbyist

On the HIV questionnaire given when taking a free test (in OH), they do NOT ask "Do you have sex with anyone that you know engages in anal intercourse?"  It is not identified as a risk factor in and of itself.

The following are ACTUAL ways you can reduce your risk of STD/HIV transmission though...

1.) educating yourself about STD/HIV transmission, symptoms and treatment

2.) asking any potential sex partners about their sexual history (including testing history) before having sex with them

3.) wearing a condom (properly) and/or using a dental dam and/or wearing gloves for all direct sexual contact activities with others.

Happy humping!

hemorrhoid?  WTF did you think I was talking about? The OP was about providers that perform anal sex.
I guess being gay doesn't mean they have unprotected sex.  I guess there must be another reason they have such a high rate of HIV/AIDS compared to other groups.  Maybe the pharmacists poke holes in their condoms when they check out!

I guess that could cause a real problem.  Especially when one is getting ready to go on a busines trip, and the other is getting him PACKED!  LMAO

Whaaatt lol uh no. I do sex in the front and the back with condoms and when I do anal I make sure "all up in the tooter" is as cleaned out as possible. And I don't have any std's. If your having azsekz unprotected in the front or back it's all bad.
