I'm surprised and disappointed to read that the U.S. didn't make the list.

Re: The reliability of any list is always suspect and partially . . .

depends on the size of the sample.  If you stop 10 people on the sidewalk and ask them to name the top 5 countries and then make your list from there, it will not be very accurate.
