When we make that first call, or send that first email, we have a pretty good idiea of what you look like. On the other hand, unless we tell you, you don't have clue what we look like. My question is, would you prefer that a guy give you some kind of a brief description of himself? I would imagine that there can sometimes be both pleasant and unpleasant surprises on the other side of door #1.

Hey, I was in non-pro flux and had no idea what I was doing.  I was scared of men over 35, gray hair and an array of other things.

Fast forward 2 years later, when potential guests offer photographs I rarely accept or entertain being sent one.

Most providers who enjoy their work will tell you that we can find something attractive about everyone.  Ultimately, it's not your hair, your tummy or height we're interested in...

Well said. I agree, the best of the woman here are the ones that truly like what they do and also the are the ones that can find something mentally to be attracted to for that hour or two if the physical isn't really there.

I agree with Ally...I have found not just here but in general that people are truely beautiful on the inside, and then again there are very ugly people out there on the inside as well. I can judge a man by his tone of voice, the direction of his conversation or emails. His respect for himself and others pretty well weather they are drop dead gorgious or not they may be a Gem and a true Genuine good decent man. Passion Sensuality and Intimacy illudes a great number of the population, they are naturally indifferent to it. They just don't get it. Not their fault really, they aren't made that way. My point here is , and I do have a point...although it may be nice to see who I am making plans with, but that can be very decieving. I have had the pleasure to be in the company of a great deal of very sweet Gentlemen, and no...not men I would always be attracted to right away physically, but with me it's more of a passion thing that I find attractive, Intellect is key in men I am attracted to. A great sense of humor and a man who is deeply Passionate.  So it doesn't really matter in the end. Be sweet Passionate and have a sense of self...respect others and be a Genuine Gentleman.NOW Thats what I'm talking about!!

Oh my gosh, I've often wondered this exact question myself! No offense to any of the guys here, but I can't imagine its much fun for a great looking girl to be with a big, fat guy/girl.

I don't mind not receiving pictures of men.  Very rarely am I unpleasantly surprised (i'm not picky about looks, never have been, in fact I tend to pursue men not considered "attractive" by society's rigid standards), and sometimes I am very pleasantly surprised... I'm shocked by the number of hobbyists who are attractive and great in bed.

If a lady asks me for a picture to book an appt I'll terminate communications with her on the spot.  Not because I'm unattractive (seriously..I'm on the "hot" side if anything!) , it's just because I'M PAYING HER, not the other way around. She needs to be convincing me why she should get my business, not me convincing her that I'm good enough for her to take my money. If she wants to pay me $400 an hour I'll send her a freaking photo album!

When I notice that a lady has all kinds of requirements and demands it makes me think she's far more concerned about herself and her wallet than she is about her client.


I know the original post wasn't about ladies requiring a picture but thought I'd chime in anyway.

I've never had a provider ask me for a picture or what I look like, but on the other hand, I've never had one say, "Ooh, go away. You're too ugly and/or fat." I'm one of those people that just do not photograph very well, especially now that I'm older. Again, for what it's worth.

I'm new to the hobby, but I wouldn't have a problem with the provider asking for a photo.  

Its an exchange: a portion of the cash I earned for my labor for an hour or two of theirs.  Either party can decide upon whatever criteria he or she chooses; or walk away if they prefer.
