What do you expect to spend this year on your hobby? If you did one, one hour date a week @ $250.00 you will spend 13K in a year. Some spend more as some will spend less. Most of my dates are ninety minutes/ two hours duration so I'm thinking I will spend 18K to 20K this year.

Sounds about right, but I try to keep it to no more than once a week. If I stray too much, I take a total break for a few weeks. A self-imposed "time out"

Back in 2011, 2012, I don't recall exact number but it must be around 10k-20k a month. I was hobbying every few days and flew several times to visit pornstars, went on binge fucking vacations. My life kinda revolved around the hobby, mostly trying to go thru my PS to-do list.
Now that I got that porn star fantasy out of my system somewhat, discovering the costly way that they are about the same as local providers and civies with similar menu, I'm now able to hobby without going broke.
Only spent 2k this month... But then March isn't over yet.
I don't see $250 providers, I'm by no means a snob, I just don't find ladies that I want to see at that rate. Also, I don't see a provider for 1 hour very often, unless that's all the time she has available which hasn't happened often.
I haven't thought about how much I will spend, but this is my hobby so whatever the amount is, it'll be worth it.

I only use what I have 'left over' from my week to week expenses, so those $250 one hour sessions are the best way for me to even have half a hobby. Not that I'm poor, or don't have it, its just that I can't show where it come from on my month to month expenses or else my SO would find out and then it would be an expensive hobby indeed!!! So, since its cheaper to keep her, my hobby takes a back seat to the rest of my life. Once every month or so I have my fun and sometimes there is a longer interval when I want a longer session, or try a more expensive provider. Currently I'm saving up to join p411 and go with a higher end lady or two this year. Its rough trying to squirrel away cash without letting her know.
2013 was by far my least frugal hobby year to date. I've tried very hard not to run the numbers--I still haven't conducted a bona fide review (I could do it by going back over my travel calendar, hobby phone, etc, although I refuse to do so).
This year promises to be at the same level, if not a bit higher. It's a good thing I know I have $$ coming in this year. Once a guy gets used to a certain standard of living, it's hard to go back.
(PS: I do a lot of multi-hour or multi-day dates as well as a fair amount of duos. Needless to say, it's a rather large number. I really don't want to think about it..)
All I know is that it's cheaper than my last hobby and I get a lot more enjoyment out of it.
The way I look at it, if I blow five grand on a weekend, that used to be the price of a single hand of blackjack. This "hobby" isn't going to make me miss any payment, and seeing a different lady every single day is still cheaper than getting married.
but yeah, considering I try to see someone almost every single day, and even more when on vacation, I can't see a single good reason to add it all up.

I used to spend about $1,000 per month when I lived in Atlanta.
I don't really do the budget thing. I spend way, way, way too much. But it is worth every penny, and if I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a second.
The money that I then spend on my wife to make myself feel better?
At least the airfare and car was covered in making it a business trip for the expense report.
Spent a couple of nights together, and one of the boutique hotels was a mutual fantasy for us. Set up the trip as an "anniversary" for us with the hotel and restaurant. Six pack of Moet & Chandon in the luggage. We got an upgrade at the hotel due to the "special date" for us. Since I prefer the company of adult ladies rather than girls, and we've spent a lot of time together before this, we're totally in sync for the performance.
Dinner at a 4.5 star restaurant overlooking the ocean, dark pinstripe suit for me, and she had a teal copy of Marilyn Monroe's halter dress from "Seven Year Itch" that was made for her, but "slightly" lower cut. Serious stares from everybody there. I caught the guys checking her out especially with the "girls" out on display, and she said she was checking out the women staring at me. She said there's something about a tall, good looking guy in a sharp suit that gets the women's attention. Personally, I want to see nice big boobies.
From the piano player in the lounge dedicating "Unforgettable" for our anniversary, to the waitstaff congratulating us, and special deserts, it was truly "Unforgettable" and a once in a lifetime experience.
Sometimes the money does not matter for the shared experience. I think we're going camping and bringing beef jerky next time to bring the average cost down.

Planning and executing stuff like that (assuming you can swing it) is the hobby at its best--stealing a few moments from reality to live the fantasy--not just a two-hour quickie.
Thanks. You've reminded of the positive side of being "able" to do some of the things I've done/will do--and why I do them; even if some people think people like us should have our heads examined.
Never ask a question that you don't want to hear the answer to, so I never ask myself about that.
I just rationalize it that it's mental health, to a lady or my estate, YOLO, etc.
Aggravating factor this month: My latest PSA test spiked and I'm scheduled to see a urologist about a prostate biopsy late this month. So I'm trying to work my way through my must-sees as quickly as possible because things might get ugly.
