TER General Board

That's pretty much the general rule of thumb when a provider asks to not be reviewed

Lately I have seen three providers who explicitly said they do not want me to post any review. One said a reviewer posted a service  that she does not provide and TER refuse to change it, hence no more post. Two said they want to keep our interaction private.

Does anyone has similar experience?

To stay UTR. They probably have established clientele,  and back channel ways of establishing new clients...if and when desired. Reviews here show an active business. Since LE looks at these reviews as well....its a pretty smart move on their part. Less web presence means less chance of getting busted.

Your comment that LE checks this board is interesting.  I assume providers post reviews on clients also. So the concern works both ways.

Drumguy25 23 Reviews 79 reads

Absolutely. But that's out of our control. If LE has established a presence within the PO board here....then who knows what's being said. I Would hope they use back channels to discuss problem clients by name. I prefer to not let myself be driven to the edge of paranoia over this.

And if a provider says she doesn't want reviews, I honor that request, unless I think she poses a risk or danger to others, eg a rip-off situation. So far I haven't needed to make that exception.

Before I book a session with any provider, I ask whether she's read my reviews -- I want her to know what I like and how things might go between us by seeing how I've interacted with other providers. So she knows going into the appointment that I'm a reviewer and that's especially true if we're meeting via TER.

If she doesn't want a review of our time together, she may decline to book the appointment --that's her decision; if we have a session, then I will write a review -- that's my decision.

I look at my reviews and those of other clients as a database of information available so that we can all make more informed decisions. Think of it as the "Consumer Reports" of p4p.

There are several reasons why a provider might not want you to write a review such as

1.  UTR.  Doesn't need clients.  Already has a solid client base.
2.  You write crappy reviews or appear to be a harsh grader.  You think a 7/6 is a solid review.
3.  She has several recent reviews and doesn't want to appear to be high volume.
4.  She treated you more or less favorably than most clients and doesn't want to set a new standard.
5.  She only wants people who have seen her multiple times who will write positive reviews and respond favorably to PMs from other dudes to write reviews on her.
6.  She finds reviews invasive and values her privacy.
7.  She doesn't like the new scoring system and is happy with her current rating.
8.  Combinations of the above and/or other reasons.

This is happening more and more.  Especially with higher end ladies.

I did not ask her why not, and have respected her decision.

That said, she has several very good reviews, without which I may never had decided to see her. She was referred to me by a PM from another TER member who thought she was right for me.

In any case, any gal can always request that TER remove her profile.

... if I'd taken that approach when asked by different providers for different reasons to not write a review of our great session.  Examples are:

Her:  "I'm studying for and taking finals the next few weeks, so I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't write a review."
Me:  "Of course. My no-review fee is only a $100 discount off your one-hour rate."

Her: "I'd like to keep a low profile right now, my mom is ill and I need to spend a lot of time with her out of town."
Me:  "Sure, I understand, I had a similar situation with my mom.  So instead of my regular no-review discount of $100, for you it'll only be $50."

And there's been others but you get the idea. I bet I'd never be able to see those providers again, and probably others after they tell their friends.

Does my loyalty lie with the person that I have a business and physical relationship with?
Or does my loyalty lie with a community of mongers, mostly male, that I don't know.

When it comes to truth in advertising, information exchange and monger safety, I'm for the mongers.

When it comes to these amazing ladies that I have a relationship with, I want their safety, success and for them to like what they do. So, I will honor their wishes, as long as they are not asking me to be dishonest.

I don't think I can generalize an answer, each situation has it's own answer.

He NEVER "manipulated" his management of the games to avoid a win. He was always going for a "10." (But he didn't say whether he bet on the Reds to win when he knew they had a poor chance of winning ... maybe he was manipulating his bets?)
.
If you agree not to post a POSITIVE review, you aren't manipulating your review. I you agree not to post a NEGATIVE review, THAT is manipulation.

If you’ve got a hard on about documenting every experience you have with a provider, at least have the decency to let the provider know beforehand that you will be writing a review.

The terms of a visit with a providers who don’t want reviews are $ per hour and no reviews.  You entered into the agreement with the intent of breaking it.

Sounds like a quick route to getting blacklisted by providers.

It apprears that you have, otherwise you wouldn't know whether a provider is someone's 10/10.

Thus you find reviews of some value to you (or you wouldn't bother looking at them), but not enough value to help other mongers with reviews. Right?

Getting more reviews doesn't always equate to more bookings. Especially seeing good clients.

One girl I'm currently seeing had numerous reviews. At first she saw as many clients as she could. But then certain clients treated her very badly. She stopped seeing a lot of clients and just saw a select few that she felt comfortable with. I'm just one of the lucky few that still see her.

Its simply ones opinion at the end of the day........for the other gentleman who have posted on this thread:
what someone's expectations and preferences are differs person to person. Reviewing a lady is not the same as reviewing a product/service eg dinner at a restaurant. Perhaps you don't click with one another, maybe one of you has had a bad day, who knows you could have rubbed the woman up the wrong way and you didn't realise. We are humans and have been known to react to how we are treated.  Its subjective.

OH and by the way just as you have forums where you discuss us ladies, we too have communities where we discuss you.....so don't for one moment think that you are not accountable. Posting a vile review of a personal nature will put off any providers from accepting your request.
