it says "Wharton" on my diploma.
That was 100k down the shitter, huh? LOLI'm at a delima with this whole being a provider. I got Clients who have contacted me during the holidays. Now During the Holidays I do give a discounted rate(Just for the holidays). And now the clients want me to stay at my cheap holiday rates. What Should I Do?
Just tell them briefly that you only do that during the holidays. If they keep insisting after that. Just don't communicate back.
ome don't understand the concept of sales.. Madison avenue and marketing have spoiled us.. I won't pay full retail anywhere because I know it will be on sale at some point and all I have to do is wait...
In this case, you have a choice of telling these clients that they enjoyed a holiday special and now they are back to regular rate and potentially lose them or you can let them keep the lower rate in the hopes that they are regular visitors and will keep your bank account filled up...
If you opt for the second, you run the risk of irritating potential new clients because they can (and will) find out you are charging others less..
In my case, when contacting a new (to me) provider I just cut to the chase and ask for the JackDunphy rate.. just like getting the AARP rate for motel rooms.
You flatter me sir. I have several patent pendings to make this easier for all.
PussyPriceLine and ProstitutionPayPal are just two of my ideas. LOL
I'll have an announcement shorty after approval.
Only hold up is that my attorney Bob Sugar isn't returning my calls. ![]()
Also, it's not "patent pendings," it's patents pending.
Ed's School of Business called. They want their diploma back.
LULZ!
PS: You never got back to me on my offer.
it says "Wharton" on my diploma.

You are now officially TER's first ho to enter pedantic putz territory.
That would get the sweet spot to market in a hurry at the best price. Lol..
But as mentioned above.. consumers in any market are spoiled and expect lowest possible prices on everything, all the time.
Just remember.. those who want to pay less usually demand the most... and in this biz - it's even more so
Change hourly rate clients get upset.
And cut side deals with your real good regs if you want/need to
In my mind you have two choices:
1. See the guys and realize you are being taken advantage of as they will push for OTC time, more services etc as they have already manipulated you into keeping the discounted rate....they now smell blood in the water.
2. Get rid of some money and a whole lot of jackass to go with it and get a better group of guys who don't have that mindset. You will recoup that money with a nicer more respectful group of guys.

They get 59 minutes and pffffft! LOL
The don't need a deal as they are already at the lowest price point you have.
And btw, what would your OTC special even be? 65 minutes? :
Look I don't want to pay max for service but I am also an economist and you girls should charge the maximum the market will bear for your looks and services.
Beyond making more money, you will see less people!
Hypothetically, If your bottom line is the same would you rather be a Wall Mart or an exclusive beach boutique in Laguna Beach?
Isn't that the standard clause in most ads?
They will either move on or get the clue but at least you won't be in the discussion and possibly say something you'll regret later. Though why you would reduce your rates in general for the holidays (as opposed to doing that with some regulars on the side if you want) I don't quite get but it's a nice gesture.
Offer to email them if and when you have another sale.
If you keep accepting the sale prices, then it wasn't a sale. It was just dropping your rate permanently.
but it has been my observation that most Specials are for a different time period or limited services. Or as a bait to get callers but then when I clearly state my desired time for companionship I desire... there's no special.
If you run an "Intro Special" like a new location/market... it should have a time period & or an expiration date. Only ad somewhere you can edit & remove the expired ads. Or better yet, don't advertize prces at all. I used to see prices a lot but no more.
Holiday Rates... most ladies have other things for the Holiday's so hard to understand a "Sale"... but then guys have other obligations so maybe a Special will draw them out. IDK
And, was offered for a certain reason. Due to certain circumstance that might not still apply.
For instance: I drive at least an hour to most of my appointments. If it's in NYC (most of mine are) I usually have to do the whole bridge/tunnel thing, and park. So last summer, I had a nice client who lived 15 minutes from me (a unicorn!). I offered him a discount, because it was preferable for me to see him regularly, than take a whole day out to see a stranger.
I made sure he knew exactly why I was offering...it wasn't because I was desperate for business, or because I *really liked* him. It was because it worked, logistically, and yes, because he was cool. I made sure to tell him that if I moved away or circumstances changed, I might not be able to honor the discount any longer. He seemed to understand, and was appreciative.
What ended up happening was that the client (a newbie) ended up developing feelings for me (his marriage was on the fritz, and he was at an uncertain period in his life in regards to his profession and future). After I told him that I wasn't interested in taking it out of the business realm, he stopped booking me.
But anyway. The point is, if you do offer a discount...only offer it to someone who will be appreciative. And make sure they know it's only offered for a certain amount of time. For example your holiday discount might have been offered because you had more free time during the holidays, or because hotel rates were cheaper...or something else. If that's no longer true, why would the discount still hold?
But, ass others have said as well, guys who pay bargain basement rates tend to be the biggest pains in the a**es. I remember that from my agency days. It's like the less they pay, the more they demand.
Then clearly inform them that now that the holidays are over so are the reduced rates.
This isn't the same thing as raising rates and grandfathering your regulars.
Don't make this a bigger thing that it needs to be.
Explain that it was a brief holiday rate, and that it is now over but you are thinking of doing it again next year and that you had a really good time but that you can't give him the special holiday rate as it has expired.
Unless you liked the guy and he will be a good regular repeat customer that you want to continue to see, and the price difference is not that much, and you tell him that you will give him a special rate but not to tell anyone or you will have to end his special rate.
This is something you get to decide, not the customer. And maybe some customers are good repeats and you want to keep their business and others are not.
Probably not that much difference. Just tell them they are special and can grease the wheel just one more time at the special. That will make them happy and will come back. Your sale made them notice and want a trial run. You will work harder but make more money. I love a girl with a special.
