Personally, I know a LOT of providers are quite open about the fact they have an assistant/booker working for them. I doubt too many of them are actually going out of their way to hide the fact.

What I don't like is a "flirty" booker who doesn't reveal she who she is, and then I walk into a session thinking I have had a friendly banter with the actual provider who of course is clueless about the flirting that went on between her booker and me.

That of course assumes that the assistant is a she and not a he as some ladies have male assistants. Would suck to have an assistant flirting with you only to find out later that it was a dude.
Out of the interest of transparency, I think providers should clearly disclose that on their website.
I have never had a lady disclose that she would be passing my screening information to a third party. That said, the overwhelming majority of booking assistants make it clear that you are communicating with a booking assistant so it is clear that the booking assistant is the one doing the screening. I suspect that usually the provider provides her username and password to her accounts and periodically monitors correspondence.
I dont like to have a third set of eyes on my emails, calendar. It is too much to trust. I respond all the emails myself, work on my own schedule. There are ladies that do it, and I respect it... but it is not for me.
Whatever info is sent to me, is only for my eyes and no-one else. I know how to do my screening to my comfort level so I dont need anyone else to look into it or do research for me.

"If she has been around for more than a year with many great reviews, she is probably trustworthy." kind of stuff.

When the booker gets the personal info, we've got no clue as to who the booker (sometimes a he, sometimes a she) is and what THEY have to lose by abusing or misusing personal info ... usually, nothing.

If there is a problem, a Provider (or agency) might say, "We got rid of that person and hired a new person to handle screening and booking." So now we have a NEW unknown person to have to worry about!
I hate dealing with assistants.
I have a very detailed P411 profile which clearly describes my likes and deal breaker.
Also have over 40 okays.
Independent ladies almost always review my profile completely as I can tell from their replies.
Assistants rarely review my profile completely, they are just interested in the Okays.
Ladies with assistants almost never even look at my P411 profile so they have no clue what I like and hate.
Assistants or not, no one that I've visited has ever (as far as I know) read my p411 profile.

Of course you never know if you are talking with an assistant unless they tell you that. I have dealt with assistants who say right up front who they are. But other times I wouldn't have a clue if I was dealing with an assistant or the provider herself.

I would guess, however, that since assistants have to be paid, most providers don't employ them. Just a guess, of course.

But I have known of SEVERAL male "assistants" that not only do screening, but who also pretend to be the provider and "fluff up" the clients before meetings. lol
If it takes you a while to respond, I will assume you just took a "puke break" lol

I like to do my own screening. I have plenty of time to do so (even with my civvie job) I may take fa bit more to respond if im busy with other personal obligations but would not be more than 4-6 hours unless Im traveling overseas.
During my screening, I can see how he look like, things he like en enjoy and we can have a little convo about his likes and dislikes. (also if different political views I know that subject is better to keep it off limits) LOL !
A few have claimed to have assistants for the illusion of professionalism. Or to have a scapegoat when they screw up a booking.

Guy talks to booker, guys tries to negotiate a better deal, booker say fuck it xx percent is better then no percent. Booker doesn't tell lady (no communication) about revised rate. Lady shows up, WTF the guys is going to short me, She's now bugged. Talks to the sap (my version)
Guy gives in, lady still bugged thinks guy is a fuck and does a quick "Hit it and quit it" figures I ain't this cheap fuck again.
Moral of the story, if you can't do the dime, don't do the time....lol
