Just trying to figure out what happened?

A little backround:

Upon leaving provider sessions, I've been asking providers to complete a rating survey on myself and then they can proceed to mail the card annonymously to my PO box.I've been averaging 8's on looks/appearance until low and behold in Today's mail, I received a three in looks/appearance(although my performance and other ratings were still above average). I'm beside myself as I always pride myself in being very clean and well groomed from top to bottom for my sessions.I've been at a loss for words and find myself constantly looking in the mirror, desperately searching for answers to my dilemma and finding none until my mirror image gives me back a wink and thumbs up.Unfortunately, this form of relief is only temporary.What can this hobbyist do?

Personally, i feel that being clean and groomed(a must) is still very different from looks and appearance. If that were the case everyone we ever saw anywhere that was clean and well groomed would recieve high marks for looks and appearance, which we all know isn't the case.

We(people in general) just aren't all attracted to each other the same way. What turns me on in the looks catagory may be someone elses definition of ugly. You just didn't ring this ladys bells is all. She answered your survey honestly, but unless the questions in it or comments she made in it were specific in terms of bad hygene or the like, i would just post it under the "i'm not what she finds attractive in a man" catagory and move on. Different strokes for different folks, ya know.

to mail back to you. What's the point? If you are groomed to the T and you get a 3 rating in appearance, there's nothing you can do about it, right? Either she didn't like the way you looked, or she wanted to zing you for some other reason. Really, it's not something to get all broken up about. Dirk, baby, you really need to ask yourself why you were handing out these cards in the first place. Your not the one getting paid to do a job. It's like giving a rating card to my hair stylist so she can rate me on my looks, apparel, hair texture, scalp condition, and how well I hold a conversation while she cuts my hair.

She's probably just lashing out with bad scores when in essence, appearance has nothing to do with it.

Were you?   If I was in the provider's shoes I would be falling all over myself to tell you what a great guy you were in the hopes of repeat business.  The real test is to see if she will pay to do you next time (IT COULD HAPPEN!!!).

Although I will tell you that all the ladies say you are the best lay any of them have ever had.  Harry

so far, the only joke has been on me!

Maybe she didn't like your nose.  Don't give it another thought.

Maybe she wanted to show off and you a complex, some lady reviewers are very egotistical! Makes you wonder, are they stroking their own egos here instead of giving you a fair review?  It happens to the popular ones... (shaking head..)

I think there should be hobbiest profiles, perhaps even hoobiest ratings.  This would allow other hobbiest to judge the review in a comparative situation.  

Perhaps she gave you an 8 but her pen skipped?

The old saying "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" may apply or "HMMV"  (Her Milage May Very)

One explanation. She saw your wallet.  It was empty.  That usually makes one worse than ugly...more like scum of the earth.

At first I thought you were kidding, but this is a great idea -- why not have the ladies rate the providers and determine rates accordingly.  If you average a 7, you pay the going price. If you're below that, the rate keeps going higher because she has to put up with your faults.  A higher rating earns a discount or extra time.  Seems only fair.  

During your session did the provider say anything about your looks?

Be sure to go and see her again!  One persons ugly is another persons handsome.  But think you turned her on -- think the positive.  Be subtle when you see her again to learn how she'd make you better looking.  Always remember that looks is only skin deep.  But my performance is a skill that is to be admired much and she'll not forget what you did to make her have what she got.

See her again at least twice and give us your take then.

The important thing is "NEVER ASK A QUESTION THAT'D GIVE YOU AN ANSWER YOU'D NOT WANT, unless you are ready for any answer received even thouse you'd not want."

Obviously, the thing you should do is: tell the provider who sent the 3, that you don't want to see her anymore.  Then when she asks why, don't answer.

Like most inter-personal problems, this one can be solved by refusing to communicate and leaving the other person baffled about what they did wrong.

It's hard for me to believe any guy would ask gals to rate him unless he was for some reason in need of some serious ego massage or else is awfully vain to begin with.  By the time we're old enough to be involved in this hobby we should know who & what we are..our strong points & weaker ones, as we all have both.  Besides, the only opinion that ultimately matters is that of the man in the glass.

can either forget about it, or if you take her opinion so seriously, just go for a complete makeover with liposuction, hair weave, tummy tuck, etc.

Why don't you just take a full body photo of yourself, put it up on the internet and get an international consensus if you are a dream or nightmare.

Don't you think you'd be better off to approach a drunk woman in a bar??? Afterall, they say with each drink we all become more attractive!  LOL  Seriously, beauty/handsomeness comes from what's within us as well as what's on the outside.  An hour or two isn't enough time for one to really judge anothers beauty.  Don't be so hard on yourself.

Of course, it's my wallet.  Unless you are an incredible narcissist, I can't imagine why you would ask ladies to rate you on your looks.  The fact is, it's irrelevant.  

You look the way you look, and different strokes are for different folks  Personally, I don't find Pam Anderson to be particularly attractive.  OTOH, Julianne Moore, now THAT is a babe to me.

My best recommendation is that you throw your survey cards away.  If the ladies DON'T want to see you again, I'm sure that they will let you know it.  And if they DO want to see you again, you can bet your ass that it's not because of your looks.
