When I ask how they found me and they say Twitter, I have found them to be exceptionally well mannered in word and deed. They routinely exceed my expectations, which have diminished in the short year that I've been doing this.
Twitter is like the modern day world wide watercooler. I really like the interactions from gentlemen. It's definitely and"assessment tool" in regards to personality and temperament, so I have certainly used it for that, just like the discussion boards. IT's nice to be able to "wactch" a person being who they are before you meet them. IT's one way you can sort of do that.
Regarding it's utility for screenings it can do a couple of things. IF it is work related twitter that you can verify by work email, or other site that has an associated email or phone number you can run a crap ton of checks on someone.
and can be fairly well assured that is who you're going to meet, and you can ask them to send a picture with some thing that allows you insure that. That's as no more risk and really even less, than if someone sells access to their TER profile. I run the same back ground checks on TER guys n having been burned too many times.
And, while we're on the topic of verification, please don't ask me to whitelist you unless I've seen you several times That's what it should be, in my mind, but with several visits, I'd be okay attaching my name.
And lastly while we're at it! Please do make sure your references know they'll be getting an inquiry and lastly only give out a provider's it it's listedl even to other providers because they may assume it's published and give to clients. In my case it helps me stay organized. Only cleared clients should have that number. Thanks!
