Check out the Top 100 lists. Looks as if TER listened to everyone's suggestions. You need at least 20 reviews and no doubles are listed.
A lot of debate about the usefulness of the list, but at least now all the 5 review super stars will have to get more reviews. For me, 10 reviews would be enough, but if TER adm wants 20 so be it.
I have always wondered why providers with a lot of reviews were penalized by those that had very few reviews. One of my ATF's has zoomed into the number 3 spot which quite frankly based on her services offered with her incredible energy level she deserves. There are several providers I noticed that are very close to 20 reviews that did not make the list but would easliy be in the top ten based on their track record of ten/tens. Any "grading" system is not going to please everyone but I think it is equitable now. gf60
If so it is still pointless and useless like the numbers it is based on.
Look, I think TER is a great site over all. They have the highest over all quality reviews I have seen, the largest number of reviews in my area, it is easy to find a provider that meets my needs here and I enjoy the boards. But, that does not mean the site does not have its flaws.
The 2 biggest is out of date profiles and the other is the useless number system tied to the reviews. I do think the numbers the top 100 is based on are utterly useless so why should I give that list any credence no matter how many reviews they require?

Number nine again very soon.
I'm looking forward to it just as much as you are...carl01!
the lovely Destiny Delight, currently in NYC.
I think he meant #9 in LA.
Your pix are lovely and I don't doubt you belong in the Top Ten.
I only have 18 reviews so I did not make the cut (20 reviews). Unfortunately (from a Top 100 standpoint), most of my gents are not reviewers (those who prefer dinner to weekend engagements generally are not reviewers anyway) and roughly 75% of my dates are repeats so it may take a while for me to make my way back into the listing. Rest assured, I am still around and enjoying myself! *wicked grin*
Even though I am not on the list any more, I do agree with the changes. Having 5 reviews and garnering ratings sufficient to place in the Top 100 may be great from a 'fresh meat' viewpoint, but it's not a great indication of long term staying power. And the duo experience is such a different animal from the one-on-one experience that I don't believe they belong in the same ranking. There is a bit of a slight to those of us who are low volume (as in 1-2 dates per week) or prefer longer engagements (again, those gents tend not to review), though. While no system will be perfect and please everyone, this is something I'd consider an improvement.
Dear Ms. Cole:
I was just wondering what number do you think would be sufficient for a provider to be considered with in the top 100? Also what is the minimum amount of activity does she need to have in a given time period to continue to be on it. Finally I know that it wouldn't effect you because you have regulars who come to see you frequently and for longer dates as you rates indicate so you don't have to advertise as much because now you business tends to support itself. Also with respect to the previous statement, could we also have it segmented by range of honorarium as well as geographical area. This was certain providers are not disqualified because they didn't have enough reviews because their structure of compensation tends to be on the high end. Thus the hobbyist tends to see who the best performers are at certain rates and can start to access what he will get before he books a date with a provider. Also there should be hobbyist who have seen these providers who can give an accurate account on how the girls perform within the price range and it would also be like a consumer affairs division for hobbyist as well. This is another way of rating and pinpointing who is doing what and the performance and personality you would get when you have an encounter with her.
DL,
Any number of reviews is completely arbitrary, but for this purpose I think 20 is fair. My take on the list is not that it's intended as as "All Time Top 100", but a current Top 100. Depending on a lady's business model, 20 reviews might generally span 6-12 months. Some will span a longer time frame, some less; but I think it's a reasonable duration either way. A lady garnering 20+ stellar reviews in less than 6 months would likely appear fishy to most of us anyway....
I would like to see reviews older than 2 years not factored into the rankings as a lady should be neither penalized, nor bolstered, by her early mistakes or successes. She should be ranked on her track record of the past reasonable amount of time ("reasonable", of course, is subject to discussion). The older reviews should still be on her profile, but not included in the database query used to poll for Top 100.
I would like there to be some sort of minimum "activity" level - say along the lines of one new review every 4-6 months. A lady that takes a 6-12 month long hiatus should not be found on the Top 100 lists. Of course, once she gets a new review, she would become "active" again for purposes of the Top 100 lists and regain whatever appropriate place her ratings earn her.
I would also like to see a lady appear in more than one geographic area. My 'main city' is Denver, as I live here, but I travel to NYC a good deal and will start visiting DC and Chicago with some regularity. If I can list NYC as my 'second city' in my profile, I should also be allowed to appear on the NYC Top 100 if my ratings justify it.
These changes are relatively simple queries to create (depending on the database TER uses); it's just a matter of adding/qualifying cells.
As it is, VIPs can search a geographical area, narrowed by a min/max number of reviews, narrowed by ratings, narrowed by rate. These things aren't spoon fed to users like a Top 100 list, but you can certainly be as specific as you want when searching...
I'm no longer listed in my city, which is unfortunate for me personally. Still, I think the changes are for the better, particularly the removal of doubles from the list.
(Has it really been a whole year since my last review? Geez.)
Lilly, when you come to Nashville, we will take care of that.
I think I would have set the minimum a little lower, like 10-15 instead of 20. I used the Top 100 (national or regional if I was traveling to a particular city) a lot to find providers. There were a few I saw from the old list with less than 15 reviews that turned out to be some of the best experiences of my hobby career (i.e. Edrienne Cole). Most of these girls didn't advertise very much, so I probably would have never known about or met them had I not seen them on that list. As EC pointed out, for some ladies the bulk of their client base are not reviewers. Therefore, it could take them a very long time to gather 20 reviews. So, you might have some gems floating around that go unnoticed unless you really do some digging.
True, you could use the advanced search feature to recreate a list similar to the old one, but I miss having it all laid out for me already. On the other hand, I see a lot of new names I never knew about before, so I guess it's a good thing as well.
I agree..sad to see that some ppl think that because a providers have few reviews she is not worth of being better than another with at least 20 reviews..I guess some shillers and old time ladies cried long enough to get the list changed.
I think these changes have been a long time coming! I'm so glad they have finally sorted it out, it simply wasn't fair for someone to be #1 ,2 3, etc who had 10 or less reviews, and maybe one recent one...The new system is much better I think. Well done TER ![]()
