This may sound a little nuts, but...I am a TER regular and a firefighter who has been on fireline duty for the last 33 days. Right now, I am on the big McNally fire on the Sequoia Forest, north of LA. Would any provider be willing to make a visit up my way for some much-needed R&R? I've had my fill of breathing smoke, and sleeping in the dirt. I need a place to spend some of my hard-earned pay. The small town of Kernville is the nearest piece of civilization where we might rendesvous, with clean sheets, shower, and a few comforts of home that fire camp does not offer... No end in sight yet for this fire..sighh.....

Thanks, Riker. This fire is kickin' our butts. It won't lay down. I wonder when winter will arrive. Fire camp is getting old, and they have moved camp twice to get out of the way.

No, Riker, not yet. When we get moved to a new fire camp, we end up in some god-forsaken piece of land that is FAR away from civilization and a decent place to host a provider. I'll get a day off after 14 days, so maybe I can slip away to a nearby town for much-needed R&R...Catch ya later...
