While they do offer the options of OKs, if you don't have any (as almost of their new clients do not) then you must provide them with some sort of personal information, such as employer info.  You can also negotiate alternative methods but they always require some sort of personal info that's subsequently discarded.
Besides, you cite OKs (from working girls that they guy has seen) as if they are no no value, which is simply not true.

Both personal and from the experience of others. I'm Sorry you had a bad experience but one anecdotal example doesn't tell the whole story. My description of P411"s screaning process is accurate. It's very much like what many girls do. But it's not foolproof.

Do background checks on potential members?  Seriously???

There are plenty of members on these screening sites (P411, RS2K, DC) that with a cursory "google" may look just fine...but if anyone really wanted to spend the time and money on a serious background check many, many of the hookers and I'm sure equally as many johns have some serious issues.  Shit...even if some members here would look at the "googled" pages of the hookers beyond page one they'd find a plethora of fun facts!  Quite often phone numbers will lead an interested party to the "real" person...THEN do your homework.  Not to mention there's quite a few hookers with active litigation against them with their hooker names...that leads to their "real name and address".   YOU honestly think any of these screening services wastes ONE second looking any of this stuff up...and updates their files??

The best any of these places can get to is confirm that HookerJane is some woman with no "visible" issues...same as for the johns.  If that's a consolation of sorts...mission accomplished.

What I find hysterical is the constant babble by so many on both sides here claiming their "screening" method is the best.  Hey...whatever works for whoever is fine with me.

Please show me where I said any service did a full background check.  You can't because I didn't. I Simply said they asked for certain personal info. Which they do. And it's rather the same as what the article suggests.

That with adequate information many of the issues surrounding prostitution could be alleviated.  

My prior post wasn't an "attack" on you per se...however how or why any person with a lukewarm IQ would think that any of these screening services offers some type of "protection" is asinine.  I guess it's better than nothing...maybe  LOL

My comments are directed towards the articles...the insinuation that a screening service is doing anything more than a cursory "review" of literally self-serving nonsense is all I was suggesting.

Frankly...it is a complicated issue if you honestly want to delve into the real issues (t)here.

As for asking for "certain personal info"...BFD.  As I said there are MANY who are on those sites on both sides that can be and are dangerous.  And to think that any of those screening services would be liable...bullshit!

That what the author has in mind would be different than what we have now.

This whole place is a crazy gamble on both sides every single day for every person here. But....ultimately, we have to have some kind of faith, believe in some kind of system that works for us, whatever that may be individually. Without having that system that has instilled a lil trust in us by process of elimination from other things...what do we have here really?

references unfortunately are not foolproof either. If not, the other, sad to say at times. Most times you only get as much as an 'ok', if that much. And from some ladies, you can tell they could care less. For this reason, I am personally cautious as to who I contact for reference requests and barely use that system anymore either.  

However, I will say, one amazing lady here, saved me from a potentially serious situation with someone thanks to her very, thorough, carefully thought out response to my reference request which I appreciated more than anything. It was a bigger kind of date and something was just not jiving for me. Of all providers, I'm quite certain she didn't have the time to send such an email, but did. This same gentleman has continued to contact me several times since then over a course of time with whom I still refuse to see because of her.

Absolutely nothing is foolproof here. Nothing. Most of it's gut instinct along with other things.

It's up to you to decide just how many okays it takes for you to feel comfortable with a client.

Some women are "newbie friendly" and will see any guy who has passed Gina's rather "friendly" initial screening, others require 2,3, or even more okays before seeing a guy. Okays are kind of like reviews, one or two don't mean much, but 20 or more should make you feel pretty safe, especially if the okays are from reputable providers. Any of this sound familiar about reviews.

Personally I only ask for about one okay a month, just like a lot of providers don't want dozens of pages of reviews, I don't know if I really want hundreds of okays, but one a month gives me a few dozen okays, and enough current ones to make most women feel comfortable seeing me.

Is not the same as doing background checks. It looked like you were saying P411 does background checks even on men with OKs. My bad. The guy I saw wasn't a bad guy. But he did say screening was easy. Even to change your  P411 ID.

It's a piece of screening. Not an end all be all. My purpose for my responses is to correct any misconception that everyone on P411 has had a background check for the very fact that two ok's gets a guy verified. If a gal is ok with that, by all means. I don't see the reason for feeling safe just because an escort or two in timbucktoo presses a button.

I also consider the possibility of competitors and a set up. Two girls that hate another girl ok a guy, the guy books with the girl solely with references, that's all it will take for a dangerous set up and / or an outing or an arrest.

For all she knows another girl will show up at her hotel room. Hitting a verification from multiple angles is the way to go.

P411 is only a small 'piece' of a way to verify someone here, but it's a piece at least. And one I trust for the most part out of all the others I have tried, as far as verifying the men here. As far as the women????? you hit the nail on the head indeed.  

In any world, I am a guy's girl first as it is, so I naturally trust guys over girls any day of the week which is probably why as much shit as I get from the board boys here, it's fine to me. I'm used to that kind of bantor (obviously) but it's all in good fun, sarcasm and nothing more. Those that don't understand that, simply don't. I have shared with a few here there is a 'safe' factor in this world for me as weird as that sounds with some of the men here. I don't know them from Adam but something about it makes sense to me in a weird way, so I go with it. Far more than from the women by a landslide.  

I look at it this way and from my own personal experience (friends and family)...Women in general, carry that ugly jealous/catty/ruthless/stab-you-in-the-back-first-chance-they-get-kinda gene LOL. I don't understand it, trust it and never will, that kind of behavior. I have every reason to not trust women from my past experiences. Women are very different than men in this instance. Men stick together, women do not. I think more like a guy and have always been told that. Hence why most of my friends are guys by choice. Gentlemen who are gay are my most favorite kind of individual to befriend over anyone. They are the best of both worlds blended into one awesome individual minus all the ugly crap that comes with each gender lol.  

Anyhow, for the women who don't carry this gene, it's funny, there's an automatic connection and an undeniable understanding between one another. And those women become your best friends who you never have to look behind your back. Unfortunately, these women come so few and far between that it's like finding a needle in a haystack much like anything else in life. So when you find it, you grab onto it and hold on.  

As far as that philosphy here with women in this world???? Well, most just scare the everliving bejesus outta me and some thankfully don't carry that god awful genething and we get along just fine.  

Women need to stick together or we will never reign supreme LOL.

Many of his answers are pretty naive. Like checking citizenship or visa status to assess trafficking (??). American providers may have been trafficked whereas immigrants or undocumented may be working on their own will.  Or when he points out at what keeps prostitution illegal. The reasons are much more complex than the ones given. Many relate to politics and economics but the harder one relate to general cultural attitudes towards sex and more specifically female sexuality.
