Reports today say the defense attorney refuses to take actual possession of the list over fear that IF there is a leak he wants no part of it. He will review the list at FBI/LE offices and make no copies.
Just imagine who's names ARE on that list. Luckily I am not and I feel for the regular guys who are. But that list is also going to be filled with the names of Judges, politicians, Corporate Executives with enormous clout and I am sure also people in law enforcement and Home Land Security.
FBI has it, and I am sure the CIA, NSA and HLS want to see it. It is a claymore - this side towards your enemy. It is the ultimate political barginning chip - it will either never see the light of day or it will be sanitized beyond belief.
The judge presiding over the case against the owner of Miami Companions has allowed the release of over 30,000 names to the defense. So it won't be long before the press has ahold of the entire list as well.
What a nightmare this is going to be.
I KNOW that I am on that list, MC was awesome. I'm just a lowly Joe so I really don't care but for all the famous people and public figures on that list I don't know what it means. I would think the judge and prosecutor could find some very wealthy and influential people with them in their scopes of that list gets out.
It only proves you were on a list. I would expect it would take more evidence than that for it to be a problem for hobbyists.
I'm sure I'm on that list as well but like my alias friend I could care less. Do they have a video of me giving a lady an envelope and then having sex with her. I highly doubt it.
Defense attorneys are still officers of the court. And subject to sanction if they violate a court order.
Right. And they also know how to leak and leave no fingerprints. It all depends entirely on what leaks they think might help their case.
With all that heat I think I will get out of town, and come back when things cool down.
Will TER remove MC reviews if requested?
Fortunately, reviews on TER are works of fiction:
"After seeing her pictures in the news and on TV, I booked a session with an Assistant DA in Miami. We met at her place. I was hoping she would role play the "frigid ambitious lady DA" and she did it to the hilt. She was even better in person than on TV. After some preliminaries, her girlfriend the stenographer left and the ADA approached me, dropped her legal pad on the floor, turned around, bent over in front of me and wiggled her curvy ass in my face. I slipped my hand up her skirt and she moaned in delight as I interrogated her digitally. One thing led to another ... She finished up with great oral arguments. I highly recommend."
If somebody publishes the list online, you'd pop up as a John if someone searched for your name.
It is in affect judgement with out a trial....a conviction with out a inditement. There is no law against engaing an escort. And I suspect more smoes than you think have scheduled time with a beautiful lady simply as a dinner companion or to sit in a room and listen to their ramblings. However, there names will be on the list...there lives will be ruined. Are there no civil libertarians out there to stand up against this nonsense? My name will not be on that list, but it is still wrong...just wrong.

I wish the legal system could have been held complicit in the deaths and ruined lives.
I feel the same way about newspapers publishing photos of people who have been arrested, or those photos being made public at all. Being arrested does not mean you are guilty of a crime, yet you are treated as though you are.
Can the defense challenge the laws being cited in the charges to, perhaps, get them overthrown and thus legalize of the biz in that jurisdiction?
Funny post... way to keep it light!!!

The one about reviewing the performance of the ADA on TER? I'd include a link to the DA website and the phone number of the DA's office. I wouldn't want to insult her by making up a fee that was too low or piss her off too much by including the wrong service selections (anal?). If she denied under oath that the action described ever took place I'd take that as proof positive and an admission by the DA's office that TER reviews are works of fiction and just a way to express ourselves and in no way admissions of actual activities. On the other hand, if she whitelisted me, I think I'd be in trouble and rethink my strategy.
OR, did you mean my question about whether the Defense can use this case to challenge the laws that seek to regulate activities that take place between consenting adults in private. I meant that one seriously! Couldn't clients on the list, exposed or not, join the defense or file amicus curiae briefs (please, no skid marks!) to support MC?
