Thanksgiving and Giving Back

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Since I am a brutally honest poster on this site, many people seem to have resentment for me telling the truth or just being brutally honest.

I see many hobbyists throwing out > $400 for an hour date and many providers making a small fortune of cash during a week.

Then I think of Thanksgiving and its real meaning: we should all be thankful for what we have in this world as there are kids starving in Africa and Asia or those dying from bacterial infections since they can't afford antibiotics.

How do you give back for all the blessings that you have?

I spent Friday night and Saturday night working at a Chicago homleless shelter in Chicago's northside Uptown neighborhood. I spent Friday night and Saturday night doing laundry in the shelter while distributing meals for the homeless.

Everyone thinks that the homeless are the low income familes (including kids), the drunks, the drug addicts and the crazy people.  

I can tell you it is different today. I met a former middleclass young family where both husband and wife were college educated. They also had two young children. Because both the parent's jobs in Chicago went through "Business Debt Restructuring", they both lost their jobs and ulitmately lost their condo and were put on the streets with no help from family or friends.

Corporate Debt Restructuring usually means "Corporate Welfare." Then the "Corporate World" conservatives say that America is going broke from all the minorities and illegal immigrants collecting some form of wellfare!!!

I feel good about what I did this weekend and certainly hope many other members on this site did something to help out the less fortunate. I plan on volunteering at least once a month at the homeless shelter.

Some of these hobbyists seem to throw money around and it would be great if they could have a postitve impact on lives

Udolt posted virtually the same thing last year.  I am far too lazy to do a search but I'm sure some other intrepid member can find it.  Surely, Udolt, you can do better.  Just one more sign of Tertiary Syphilis.  I am growing increasingly afraid it is far too late for penicillin.

So, then I guess 200 bucks could last even longer, you cheap fker! I would like to have a BM on your damn head. Although you might want to eliminate some waste on his face, you could note that you have several organizations in which you exhibit your social responsibility for the greater good. Keep in mind that you also have been running your non-profit, Rayne's safe haven recovery house for the last seven years. Henceforth you just not another cutie who is benevolent and gifted with the booty, you have also mastered and identified the role you want to play to accomplish your social duty. Now you have proof to tell him to copulate himself, because you more than share the wealth.

I discovered "dolt" when I was a teenager and loved it mostly because it was 400 years old and I could insult people without their knowing what I was calling them. Never thought I would hear it again.

How can you be so thoughtless, UDO?  You, who have so tenderly managed your BMs so that others might enjoy their good fortune with you.  Thanksgiving is not about starving kids in third world countries; lord knows we already have plenty of them!  Thanksgiving is about Shopping.  Thanksgiving is a time for the Little Person to bolt down some turkey at lunchtime and then Get Back To Your Job so the rest of us can go shopping by dinnertime. Thanksgiving is so we can help the CEOs of countless blue chip retail firms earn their annual bonus.  Thanksgiving is the beginning of the greatest shopping extravaganza humankind has ever been blessed with:  XMas.  So don't tell us about some nincompoop (pardon the expression) dillydallying in a homeless shelter sorting cans of donated beans.  Tell us where You shopped on Thursday evening, tell us how many xboxes You bought at $5 discounts, tell us who You screwed for a parking spot at walmart.  Be a taker, not a giver!!!

Helping is good. But, if you really want to do the world a favor? Keep your dick out of that 13 yr old asian girl offering you the world for 25$. That's the only way she has to bring some money home to her family.  

Get really generous. Give her a $100 and walk away asshole.

Has also personally helped build multiple orphanages and works with many charities.  

His Christmas gift to me last year was donating to a foundation to help with surgery for a young girl suffering a spinal disorder.  

But he didn't toot his own horn about giving back to the community and post threads about how everyone should do the same.  

We should always help those who need a hand up. But when you brag about it you look like a shitdick.
