A Starz series that actually gives a historical perspective of the pirate life . Of course there is a lot of dramatic liberties with facts but it really does present an interesting and insightful portrayal of piracy .

you will see that I often use sarcasm for humor, but sometimes its very subtle. Some get it, some don't, but I'm not going to dumb things down. When it comes to me, always ask yourself if this is meant to be humorous or is it informational?
I have never ever heard of this story before either. And I've been around long enough.
Even if assuming the woman pirate existed it probably was a wild exaggeration that she had upward of 1,500 ships and 80,000 sailors. The Roman empire probably had less than that. Or the Greeks. Or the Vikings...
