Jake's mentor, then you should be posting BEFORE him on each thread, not after.  Coming behind his posts with your nose in his butt-crack just makes you look like Tonto, and elevates him to kemosabe.  Its okay, just be consistent.  Some people are natural leaders, others are follows.  You seem to be more comfortable as a follower.  You actually don't have to write anything substantive.  Just look for Jake's posts, and then say, "Me, too."  I promise I won't criticize you for saying "Me, too" a million times.
