I say this because I just talked to a friend and colleague of mine who has gone trough several treatment for cancer. She said whenever she looks tired, everyone is asking if she is alright and offering support, but when she goes through a period when she is looking and feeling good, everyone disappears, and it's during those times she feels most lonely.
