Stay away from AMPs, certain agencies and girls in their teens and you're likely to be ok... I think there are many legit agencies for those providers who do not have the patience or the wherewithal to handle their own business. There's always pimps lurking even when you are talking to providers who answer their own calls. I ran across that with a group traveling in from LV and upon leaving the room, I took the stairway out of the NOtel and who do I run into but two other providers and a big headed muther who I did not make eye contact with... This biz is not foolproof, but don't over-think it either.

A few years ago I spent some time working in the Ventura/Oxnard area of California. There where AMPS by the dozen and I visited at least three in the week or so that I was out there. I dawned on me as I was at an appointment one night that the young woman trying to service me was too tired to perform. Upon returning to the Boston area I had a few conversations with an Asian escort or two and started to get the real story about what goes on in AMPS and in many brothel type of situations.

Don't confuse a legitimate escort agency for the slave trade. In the vast majority of cases they are far from it. Sure every agency has different policies about how long of a shift a lady must work or how much she earns per appointment but that is a far cry from being brought to the US under false pretenses and being forced into prostitution in order to pay a debt to your "sponsor".
I deal primarily with well run legitimate agencies and trust me, the women I see are completely willing and able to make their own decisions and keep the vast majority of the fee that I pay for their services.  it's important to be aware of the cruelty that is out there in the sex trade but it's not that hard to figure out the good from the bad.

I have never been to a AMP. What is its advantage over setting an appointment with a masseuse?

Is it somewhat like a men's club in the sense that you can arrive at anytime without an appointment?

What is the draw?

I love East Asian women, but unless I know that the woman is an independent I forego this pleasure.

No agencies, no outcall, no AMPE, nada.


One [possible?] exception -- I knew a great East Asian provider, she was an independent, but she did have other girls working for her.   I know nothing of her relationship to those other women, and in the 5 years i knew her, I only saw her. Though, in retrospect, I realize now by seeing this women I was, at one remove, aiding and abetting any trafficing relationship/hold  she may have had with those other women.

From my limited experience , I've figured out that American-born providers of East Asian descent are almost always independents, so, via referrals from like-minded hobbyists, I restrict my outbreaks of "yellow fever" to those nice ladies.  And i've found, in NYC, they are few and far between.

Life's tough for everybody, no sense adding to the burden unnecessarily.

I agree completely with your decision.  But again, this could be one of those things, like sausage-making, where the less you know, the better off you are.

About two years ago, nearly all the AMPS in the northeast, with the exception of Providence RI, got shut down.

Now they seem to be making a slow come back.

Has anyone else noticed this trend in other parts of the country?
