I've had a couple unreturned messages from providers when I called from my cell.  I noticed that my cell shows up on caller ID with the full number, but with "Wireless Caller" as the name.  I know there are many reasons in the world that a msg may not be returned, but I'm curious if anybody thinks that would be perceived as a blocked number and reason not to return a message?  I see "Wireless Caller" on my caller ID fairly often so I don't think it's rare and I'm not sure that I want to necessarily change it (or if I can).

imo that would not be considered a blocked number.Blocked comes up on caller ID as blocked or restricted it does not show wireless caller and your phone#.When you called the providers did you leave a message asking to be called back?Or that it was fine to call whenever they got the message?
If not it could be that you called when the providers were busy and if you did not indicate that it was okay to call back might be a reason for no answer. Most providers are discreet and is not going to call a random phone# back hours later if she is not sure if it is okay to do so.
I don't think you need to go as far as to change what comes up on a caller id when you called someone from your cell.

Her returning the call likely  has nothing to do with what your caller ID says or doesn't say.

On another note...be careful of how the caller IDs show up.  On some phones, my billing name shows up on the caller ID.  Which is why I changed the billing name to something completely different.

many messages I get are 'I saw your ad and want to see ya'".  I don't know who the person is, where they are located, when they want to see me - right now?!---- if they are married or with family or maybe calling from the local cop-shop etc etc etc.

A message that includes a name and short explanation of what day they would like to meet, at least, and if it is okay to call, during what time period. Then hopefully I can make that call back at that time.

There is something to be said for a hobby email address, I think. No graphic details but a brief intro.

Thanks for the replies everybody.  I'm not obsessing or anything, and I don't expect callbacks to be a 100% kind of thing.  I was just curious this was thought to have an effect.  I generally leave a simple polite message, but will consider being specific on acceptable timeframes to be called back...that is a good idea.
