I ran across this link to "Saftey Text."  It sounds like it could be a useful tool for us ladies, but I have not used text messaging, so I am not familiar with the ins and outs of it.  So, I would appreciate hearing what more knowledgeable members here think of this product.  Thanks.  https://www.safetytext.com/faq.shtml

In this case, SaftyText is a UK based system, meaning international long distance. It can be used anywhere in the world with a couple of caveats... First, you and your "buddies" need text messaging and it needs to be available the day you go missing. "Buddies" who miss a payment and thus have their phone service down are useless. Second, you and your "buddies" need a GSM phone. T-Mobile and Cingular (AT&T has been acquired by Cingular) are GSM services. (If your phone Has a SIM, it's GSM.)

Finally, I'm not sure how a Text message FROM the UK to your "buddy's" phone is going to work. You certainly will have to pay the internnational rates for the calls, it's just not clear from the site, that it's compatable with all the world's text (SMS) systems.

ok.. one more point... the Confidential information is not confidential to the owner/operators of the site. While it is a great repository for an electronic photo and all the information normally found on a MISSING poster, your "Buddy" already has a lot of information about you already, don't duplicate it.
