>to spend some of our time on the General Board just like the rest of you.

If we do choose to post we are shunned or flamed and ultimately chased away like a second class citizen. It is embarrassing and can be extremely hurtful.

We pay our monthly VIP dues just like everyone else but we feel that for a wide range of reasons we are not granted the same membership benefit as the rest of you.

It is a fact that many of you see us professionally from time to time and I can assure you that we appreciate your companionship as well as your donation, we honestly do. We need you to make us feel as much a women as you need to fulfill your bisexual-tendencies.

A percentage of you review us for the pleasure that we provide you as well as the satisfaction that we receive from your efforts as well.

While many of you prefer not to review us for fear of being treated as an outcast by what YOU consider to be the "HATER-O-NORM", we totally understand.

We understand. But when it comes to sharing our opinions on any board whether General, Local, BDSM OR The Erotic Highway we feel that we are treated as lepers and is unfair.

Now I am not ungrateful, we are happy that TER has acknowledged our community by offering a board of our own but why are we not welcomed into the other boards as well.

Its a fact that the TS community on TER number more than 1100 Vip and Non-VIP members providing much needed companionship and sexual satisfaction to nearly 4500 Vip and Non-VIP review and non-review members who truly appreciate our very effort and existence.

What else must we do to be accepted ?

...TER board.  It is the mods jobs to control flamers.  If you feel someone attacks you personally for a post simply due to your orientation, report it to the mod.  If not satisfied with the mod's response, contact Admin.

You have every right to make an idiot of yourself as the rest of us do all the time.  Let me see if I can channel GaG: "Opinions are like assholes - everyone has one. But I'm a top only, lol."

makes me wonder whether all the negative hype that we in the TS community thought was  so prevalent outside of our own board was really non-existant after all.

I hope I look thoroughly through the posting guidelines/rules but TS's aren't allowed to comment in the TER General? I feel like where have I been because I haven't seen TS's shunned or flamed. Pardon my confusion.

I read your thread, and you're right. Absolutely. We, as a 'community' should not belittle a certain 'sect' just because of their preferences, lifestyles, sexual orientation, so on and so forth....

Part of the reason I joined this place was because I felt I was different. More ways than one.

In any case, I met a lot of amazing people in the process. Whether through chatting on the boards, PMs, and in person. Some I hope to call friends for the rest of my life. Others, I'll miss more than they know.

I met a TS in Vegas one night under a very different circumstance.

Now, I don't believe I have ever encountered one through the boards and such. But WTF difference does it make? This lady was cool as hell. Saw a bad side of me, and was apologetic because of her friend that made me that way.

That's not true. I made myself that way. I got out of hand because of a situation and this person felt she was partly to blame because of who she is, though she and I had no beef towards each other.

I even told her, 'WTF you apologizing for? You didn't do anything wrong.'

The thing is, this isn't the first place I've met people that were 'bi' or 'gay' or 'lesbian', WTF ever. I have a lesbian first cousin and a gay second cousin. Worked for a family business whose second son was flaming gay. We used to tease each other at work because he knew I didn't have a problem with him, and him me. Share the same name, BTW...

He was a victim of a gay bashing and it pissed me the fuck off. He's very slight, and they almost crushed the side of his face in. Told him I wish I was there and he said he did too because he knew I respected him and his family.

TS Finestra, here's the deal. I'm not into seeing TS'. Just me and my own sense of what I want. But that's not to say you don't have a captive audience. Don't be ashamed of who you are.

It's fucking pathetic and downright wrong to treat you as less than anyone in this thing we do, or in life for that matter.

They always say, if you don't like what's on the menu.....

So, hope this helps in some small way. We might not dig the same kinda drink. But I'll sit with you and buy you a double whatever you're having! ;)

Peace, lady!

And I feel the same. I pay for it and I wonder what for. I have paid three times now and am still moderated. There are men here, who pay, but have only posted four reviews in ten years and never shut up. It drives me insane that they get to gab on and on and I don't.

You aren't allowed to advertise on local boards?

Ditto.  Just remember, you've got to keep your sense of humor and have a tough hide on this board no matter who you are or what your sexual orientation is.  And it's even worse on the P&R board.  One thing's for sure, you will get flamed on the P&R board no matter who you are; gay, straight or into barnyard animals.  Suggestion: purchase Nomex underwear.  But don't be shy.  I think  it would be interesting to have some new  perspectives.  But do bear in mind that the derisive nickname for one poster over there is "trannyboy."  Something tells me you've been called worse and you're still walkin' around!  So come on in, the water's full of piranha!

You make straight men nervous.

But everyone gets attacked on this board, for as many reasons as there are members.
Like already said, you have to have a thick skin to participate. And like a moderator recently
said, there are a bunch of 13 year old boys with daddy's TER password, and credit card, running around here making the mods lives difficult.

I for one welcome your presence and your views. And in fact, you can participate without telling anyone you are a TS - why WOULD you unless it were important to the subject? Many times people post here, and we don't know if they are male or female, provider or hobbyist, fat or thin, tall or short, etc, etc.

Good luck.

Yes they will flame you but they flame everyone. Everyone here gets harassed from time to time. Just own who you are and the flamers have no power. Trust me, if you ignore them they go away, although poking back can be fun. ;)

If thing go to far you can always appeal to the mods but often they are the ones doing the harassing. Most of the negative back and forth is in good fun. Plus you have VIP so you can alias up if you just don't wan't to deal with it today.

Feel free to post here without any harassment from me. Welcome to the GD board.

P.S. I have been know to pick a fight from time to time, if I pick one with you know it has nothing to do with your orientation as I could care less. It has ether to do with I ether think of you a friend and it is just a bit of ribbing, your being an ass, I strongly disagree and wish to debate you or all of the above.

I like to think that I'm an open minded person. But maybe you could educate me, and some others, for the greater good?

Certainly wouldn't hurt.... ;)

I do read much of the information written on the General Board. Many of my sisters do the same. Judging by the different personalities and attitudes projected, well you can understand why we have remained silent.

What I will say is that your personality is one that really intrigues me.

I was just talking with a close friend of mine who is also excited by the strong, forcefulness that you project. You are a man who doesn't back down and one that makes a girl feel especially safe in your presence.

If you ever get to the Sacramento area please look us up.

I understand what it is like to be trapped behind the wall of moderation here; it discouraged my participation here for years, despite the fact that I was able to establish a position in the NY community as a hobbyist during that time.  If you have posted a number of times on the NY board favorably, ask the moderator to unshackle you.  Worst he can say is no, and he might, in fact probably, would say yes.  After reading your reviews and and visiting your website, I can see no reason why your request would not be granted.

If you're a full VIP member, go ahead, and say your piece.  Although there are idiots that will criticize your personal preferences, you shouldn't let that discourage you if you have something to say.  Many, in fact most of us, value and appreciate a diversity of opinion.  So don't hold back...say what you have to say, and let the pieces fall where they may.  So long as you maintain a certain degree of class, dignity, and pugnaciousness, you will have our respect, even if we disagree with you.

Pseudo-anonymity empowers the sociopaths.  Hatred, intolerance and the most vile epithets just seem to flow so easily when that small (and all too vocal) subset of our various societies feels hidden.

It's all to easy to say "just ignore them" but sadly that's all you can do.  Well, short of reporting them to a mod and the satisfaction of seeing them banned :)

and if I can speak for them, we welcome you and anyone that will share that view and abide by TER's very reasonable posting guidelines.

That said, there is, and will always be, a certain very vocal group of trolls that will stop at nothing to flame and otherwise try to cause hurt feelings for no other reason that it amuses them to do so.

Therefore, be aware that anyone who posts on a board like this best come with a layer of thick skin, lest you become wounded in combat.

This is just one of the intractable conditions of the human race.

Maybe cuz the NY moderator didn't moderate her. If another mod moderated her, another can't un-moderate her. It's up to the original mod, or admin, to undo the deed.

I'd say stick it out. There was a reason why you were moderated. For me, it was obvious. It's a humbling process that I can appreciate, though. You can only be so acidic for so long, until the cuteness wears off in other's eyes. Then you're just a nuisance. At that point you either go with the flow, or look forward to being banned altogether.

For me? I'd like to be a mod then get banned. Better to burn out than to fade away. ;)

most of the folks on the board would not react harshly to a TS posting. there are a few who would. the few have an abundance of energy fueled by whatever emotions power their response to TS folks.

my take is that the overwhelming majority of folks who write and read these boards are either welcoming or don't care one way or the other about TS participation. but you need to expect some resistance from the hard cases. there is nothing that you can do about that but endure.

i have only one suggestion that i can think of to make things easier for you and your community. i've been slow to respond because i am really reluctant to make it. i am offended by my own suggestion. in a perfect world it wouldn't be necessary. so here it is:

always be clear about your orientation: i think getting "surprised" is going to get some folks who are unforgiving riled up and noisy when they would otherwise be quiet. the reason i feel uncomfortable about making this suggestion is that it is unequal in a way: guys spoof feminine aliases and girls spoof masculine aliases here.

i have a favorite in the biz (now retired) who often used space provided by a TS friend of hers. a few times after meeting her we would go out for drinks with her TS friend. so i heard a bit about the special issues. once i was able to help them both out with a little security advice. so i see TS folks as just folks who have chosen a particulary difficult path. i am neither TS-phobic nor am i bi and in search of a TS experience.

cheers...

I"m sure we all could write our own list.  Here are just a few:

- Hobbyists over 55-years old

- Men who defend escorts or treat them respectfully.  I think there's a name for it... let's see, something that rhymes with gina maybe?

- Men who enjoy unusual sexual practices.  Be careful what you say though- share it once, and you'll hear about it forever.

- Gentlemen

- Providers that say what any guy could say, but still get criticized for it.

I'd like to use this opportunity to point out that transexuals aren't the only people made to feel unwelcome here.  Most of the others just leave out of frustration.  At least TS_Finestra took the risk of raising the issue, despite concerns about the response.

We've all seen how hiding behind an anonymous alias can make small men feel important.  And we've also seen how the insecurities, unresolved anger or other personal issues of these few people can ruin the experience of being here for many others.  Let's hope this thread serves as a reminder to the larger community to discourage this sort of behavior in the future so that everyone can feel welcome here.

I was born w/ a vag and find this board intimidating. I will tell you what I told some guys who were poking fun at different fetishes; It's funny for outcasts of society(hobbyists) to poke fun at those who have different sexual preferences, or who are outside of what society considers as "normal."  Is it really, by society's standard normal to p4p? What's normal to me is someone who is not afraid to be true to themselves and their sexuality.

I think 7 times in 2008

and permanently 2 or 3 times (sometimes someone gets fooled into thinking I've changed)

I haven't and I won't.

In Katie's case, I don't think she was moderated, I think she was just never unmoderated and in that case, all she has to do is pm her local mod.
