In talking to guys that go for BBFS, the most common denominator is age groups. The very young guys who have not yet grasped the concept of mortality because they grew up playing video games where you get killed and then magically come back to life so you can keep playing, and then there are the older guys, often with some other medical condition(s) that they know are going to limit the time they have left on this planet, so why do they care when the cancer or next stroke takes them whether they also have an STD?

my PM's are at least in part about BBFS, so yes, I have had MANY conversations with mongers who are into that. I call them BBFS hounds. As a REALLY older guy, I'll put in a PSA here for the Female Condom.
Even more protection than traditional male condoms (more coverage to the female), and with the correct lube, it feels like being bare.
No tight condom strangling the Dino Dick™; no needing to strip off and re-apply when changing locations; we can take a breather and get right back into action a few minutes later; she can give me some oral play before, during and after with no interruption -- well, you get the idea.
For anyone with traditional male condom performance issues, give 'em a try -- they're terrific!
(caveat: you need a provider with some experience using them, as it takes some "installation expertise" to use them correctly.)

Besides all of the other negatives you've cited about condoms, how about the SMELL of them? Personally, that's an added issue that turns me off about them.

At least I can't smell anything. I know some condoms smell terrible, especially after mixing with some lady's love juices. But let us know your experience.
I'm an older gent and I don't have any issue with condoms, now! Now, I was on a hiatus for a couple of years and when I returned I did have an issue with them, but as I worked through and out the problem things were reversed! In my situation it was physical, mental, emotional, etc, etc, etc! But, I just learned and worked out the trouble or problem (real or imagined) and what I thought was there went away! Now, the only thing in my head is the enjoyment and the fun the provider and I will have with at the incall!
I had one provider tell me that some of her older clients always try slipping it in bare with her. She has to always watch them. I guess some providers put up with clients trying to do it.
Without getting into the bbfs issue, I personally find the female condom to be unattractive and it feels like fucking a glad bag. I'll stick with the old Trojan. Just my 2 cents.

Just my experiences.
It's possible some providers aren't using them correctly. For example - unlike regular condoms where the lube is applied on the outside of the condom, the lube is applied to the INSIDE of a female condom. The FC is "locked in place" because the inner ring fits into a notch outside the cervix. The condom doesn't move; the dick is going in and out. That's why the lube goes on the inside.
If you don't like the way the FC looks hanging out of her pussy, put it on the way I do - take out the inner ring and put the FC on like a regular condom. But you have to be "girthy" enough to wear it that way and in that case the lube does go on the outside.
Because they're men and they are always hoping for the next thing that is unobtainable....
