Tested for what?

On Twitter a person asked a few of the ladies our thoughts on----
If it is etiquette to ask a provider if they get tested regularly?

My first thought and response was if a lady is not being responsible-- she is not going to admit to it so why bother asking?

I would never think to ask a client before we start if he gets tested unless he initiated the conversation.

Hobbyists - would you be put off if a provider started your date with that question, do you ask?

Hobbyist do you ask? If you do ask, do you believe her? If you do not ask, but want to- why don't you?

Providers would you be offended if a client asked?

All- do you think it is OK to ask?

****I do not know if this has been discussed before but I did look back a couple of pages and do not see anything- so if it has- sorry for the repeat question!

Please do not private message me responses.

Not something I would ask a gal.......

Volunteered their testing info, but I would never ask, nor would I be the one to bring it up.

Nor would I consider it "good form" if a hooker were ever to ask me. and so far, I can't ever remember a hooker EVER asking me such a dumb question.

I think this is only one of those things that would come up with a nervous and clueless newbie. Or at least I would hope so, but after reading countless thousands of posts made by people who "should" know better, I guess that's an unrealistic hope.

From the clients point of view:  If she makes you feel uncomfortable you should bail out.   If the prospective client makes the provider uncomfortable she should bail out.    First impressions are usually the best.    In civie life no sane person would hook up with anyone with meth damaged teeth or oozing sores, the hobby is no different

That was my 2nd response something to the effect that he should reconsider what he was doing/where he was

Pointless and poor etiquette to ask.

I don't care what her IQ is or her typing speed. I don't plan on hiring her... wait, I guess I am hiring her, but I've already reseached her skills here, so there is no need for more testing. On second thought, maybe there is. Like the feel test, the tongue test... you all can add any more that you can think of. 😎

I assume they want bbfs and don't see them. If they specify that they aren't looking for that, or if they ask me in person I'm happy to talk about it.

I recently met a provider who wanted me to get tested first (this was ~2 weeks before the appt). She showed me her test results as well. We ended up doing BBFS several times. We never even discussed it - when the time was right, I just pointed my bare johnson right where I wanted to go, and she took care of the rest. So, depending on your desire and the provider, pre-testing may be a good way to go.

I wish this were an industry practice. We would have the return of the golden age of BBFS as the norm... but WITH safety! It would also make the hobby safer overall.  I'm curious did you cum inside her/ check if she's on birth control?

BBFS? Golden Age? You're fucking kidding right?

Like the golden age, when no one wore condoms, and you just got syphilis, went crazy, and died?

Maybe you don't know this, but the tests aren't 100% accurate, and you have no guarantee that the test results aren't photoshopped. Proper testing protocol is to re-test in 2 weeks to verify the results, and if they change to retest two weeks from then to verify the changes. No one does that unless they think they've been exposed.

Sure we have drugs for HIV prevention now, which fry your kidneys, but there are plenty of other diseases to catch. It'll be another 10 years minimum until we have HSV vaccinated, maybe longer for an HIV vaccine. HepC is about 3/4 treatable now, HPV has vaccines against the really bad stuff, but all of the strains can make you sick. There's nothing we can do with the bacterial infections, so all of the horrific old timey diseases are all on the table regardless and getting worse due to antibiotic resistance. Welcome to 2017 where the clap can literally kill you.

In short, you won't see safe BBFS in your lifetime. Even less so if you keep going after it and gambling with your life.

agree 100%

Sadly most of the guys pushing for BBFS are mostly guys that lived in an age where HIV did not exist and simple antibiotics/penicillin could fix the common STDs.  The new generation that is pushing for BBFS is just uneducated about STDs in general and think it is a problem for the other guy.

I can say that I would not be offended if asked.  I can get tested quickly and for free...have not encountered such a situation.

It's not just the guys who are pushing for it, though. My first experience with it, it was the provider who pulled me into her unprotected. I think it's an overall cultural shift.
