When few had computers, and AOL slow ass dial up modems were it for those who did. Finding a lady of the night on a street, in a bar/club, casino, etc… were the best options. There was also pulling out the yellow pages and ordering a striper that you knew offered more. But yes, back in those days on a few occasions I picked up a lady freelancing.
But these days, don’t see the point. Too easy with all there is on the internet.
There’s so much spam & bs that comes with paid advertising these days. Scammers are at an all time high. Advertising is expensive. Time spent responding to emails that don’t contain any information is frustrating.
I was in the yellow pages and loved the days when it was a simple transaction. They call you come. When you meet someone in public you get to see them in real life. There is more potential for growth as real life experiences.

One of my best experiences turned into a mutually beneficial relationship. Just by sitting next to an older gentleman at a nice restaurant bar, rubbing elbows and conversing. I have always been friendly and outgoing, so this is simple for me. I was on tour in Virginia with my hot blonde girlfriend who was currently in the bathroom washing her dress because she sharted in the mall wearing a white dress with no panties. 😆 I made a new friend for life by being myself. We ended up dating after drinks, and he had a daughter who lived in San Diego who just got married, and no longer wanted to live in America’s finest city. I ended up renting his condo in SD for several years it was the best thing ever by staring a conversation at the bar.
I get the websites have their issues. But as a client, I know how to navigate through those issues and have found ways to feel safe. And sending a text or email is easier than walking up to a young hottie in public whom I'm not sure is a provider. It's not like you're wearing a sign. And all the safeguards I get from TER, those go away too. I no longer know what your reputation is or what to expect.
The few times I did it in public, I knew where to look and what type of women to look for. If they were on a certain street and dressed a certain way, I knew what they were doing. I would waive them down and ask how much. These encounters were never GFE. They were not for a set time, but rather a very specific service. I knew I was paying to fuck and not connect with them. The only time I found women anywhere else was in Vegas and Atlantic City. It was well known women of the night were in the casinos. All I had to do was stare at them long and hard. They would usually approach me and get the conversation started.
Anywhere else, I would assume they were not escorts. Only once was I in a situation with someone I thought was a civie who after having sex with me asked if I was generous. I could have just left, but I threw her a couple of hundred. But it was awkward. It's not always easy to walk into an average bar, club, or what not and know a lady is an escort or not. And, as an escort, in these situations, if you at some point engage on a cost, you very well might get a "oh fuck that" and see the guy walk away.
