Believe it or not, I am not bringing this up for myself but for other providers that I believe deserve much higher numbers...
I think the descriptions of performance are dead on and all but one are for appearance. The one that I believe should be changed is number 9.
Tell me if I am wrong...but, aren't there women that you consider 9s-10s that don't have the typical model look? Many people writing reviews take that term very literally.
I think that if the term 'model material' was changed to 'beautiful' or 'stunning', there are plenty of providers out there that would be getting the ratings they deserve.
Often wondered about the # 9. If they were model material why aren't they on the runway. not sure what it should be changed to, but should be realistic.
stated that they believe one can only have one "one in a lifetime", and they reserve that one. How about "Unforgetable" instead! (Just can't get you offa my mind)
I just stated in a previous thread that I only use reviews as a reference to see if she is legit, providing the service advertised, and not a ripoff. The exact words or descriptions don't even register with me. As I am scanning through reviews I simply categorize them according to 1. good/positive experience, 2. average and 3. ripoffs. I am only interested in knowing if the majority of previous clients had a generally positive experience and some nice, kind words to say about her. After that, it becomes completely subjective, and each and every person will have a slightly different perspective or opinion.
Just for the record, I am in agreement with you though. Many ladies are a perfect "10" to me, but do not posess runway model appearance. Likewise, I've had many unforgettable times, that would score lower in performance. But generally speaking, the ten point scale is easily and universally understood, so therefore it will stay, no matter how flawed the subjective rating.
Most important part of writing a review for me is to be fair and honest; trying to pass along accurate information is the intention. best regards. mr.man
For me, cute is so much more attractive than pure beauty. I do however, see the scale as my personal numeric rating system and do not follow the descriptive guidelines. The one girl I gave a 10 to, my first review ever, though not a model, was an extremely cute italian-looking soccer-player in a catholic school girl outfit with an incredible twinkle in her eye and a filthy mouth. Wow, just thinking about her makes me so excited!
Looking back on my mere 8 reviews, 2 were 8's, 5 were 9's, and 1 was a 10. Now you might think I've been too generous but I should tell you that I do not give reviews to most providers I see, not to say that there weren't other 9's among them and even a few 10's (Misty Darling being one of them, the other two are pornstars who shall remain nameless (under the radar - don't ask!)) but many would have been 7's I suppose. I would add that I'm very picky and do plenty of research before I select a provider. I think every provider I've seen is beautiful, *to me*!
You bring up an interesting point... the review is just a snapshot based on one or two experiences. There is no way of knowing how many other hobbyists may have had a great (or terrible) time unless they posted a review. A provider could see 10 hobbyists and be perceived as terrific for nine of them but something didn't click with one. But if the nine "good" ones didn't post a review and the "bad" one did....? This is a common problem in survey-type research. People who respond are not necessarily representative of the population being studied.
The TER descriptions remind me of the 20 speed kitchen blenders.....what is the difference between "whip", "blend", and "puree".....maybe some of you women have an idea, but I bet most of us guys have no clue. On the other hand, we know that 1 is the slowest (or worst for rating someone) and 10 is the fastest (or greatest), and therefore we understand that a 4 is closer to "slow" and an 8 is closer to "fast". The Olympics, and other sporting events (such as ice skating) simply use a number system. Why? No "translation" necessary. How does "fantastic" compare with "magnifique"? TER: trash the descriptions (why be demeaning....except for "ripoff"); using a simple numerical system requires no "foreign language" translation.....and does not cause feelings to be hurt unnecessarily. After all, did you ever hear: "Sticks and stones will break my bones, but NUMBERS will never hurt me"? Of course not. It is the words that hurt.
As somewhat of an aside to this conversation, how do you reconcile the pictures to the ratings? There is a provider in Las Vegas (close as I'm getting ) whose photos do absolutely nothing for me, but is constantly graded with 9's and 10's in the looks department. We've all had a bad photo taken of ourselves, so I'm not throwing stones but I would think that you'd put your best foot forward for the business. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm thinking of seeing her just to see if it's a bad pic.
